No it does not come with the o-ring that goes between the valve and the tank. This o-ring is actually considered part of the filter so could you let us know the make and model of your filter?

mine is a 2000 yr. model millennium filter not sure size. its on a 24 ft. round. valve is a1.5 " cooper industries rated at 50 psi and 75 gpm will this work? the body still seems ok so will the top valve assembly work in this?

Hi John, If you look at the picture on this page of the valve you will see one side of the valve which has two ports. The inlet port would be the top port and the return port is the bottom port. The port on the opposite side is the backwash port.

I don't see a smaller gasket in the exploded view of the valve assembly. Its about 2 inches in dia. and fits inside the bottom of the valve assembly. Mine is bad and does inyopools sell this gasket?

I had to replace my top mount MPV with TM 12 S .My problem is that the old clamp is just a little small. I Measured the old MPV and it measures 22 1/4 around and the new MPV measures 23 1/4 around. I need a clamp that will fit the 23 1/4 and the screw that can tighten it on. How long is the provided screw.thank you

The pipe from the pump to the multiport: should it go to the top of the multiport, ie is this the hole for the intake to the filter? Service people have it going to the bottom hole and dirty water is shooting out the returns when I vacuum? Mysterious??

Hi Curt, The pipe from the pump will go to the port on the valve that is labeled "PUMP" which is the top left port. The lower right port is the "RETURN" port which is goes back to the pool.

Hi Folks
I have a 15 year old pool with a very minor drip on the bottom two inch connection of my Hayward 6-way valve. It is the output connection to the Triton DE filter. I am contemplating using a "Leak-B-Gone" snap on connector and gluing to the bottom of the valve. Frankly I don't want to replace the valve and re plumb because I will undoubtedly screw up "something". Any thoughts?

Hi, I just installed a new Praher TM-12-L 1.5 Top Mount Multiport Valve and I have a leak at the interface between the valve pump and return ports and the 1 1/2" PVC male-slip adapters I installed there. Is there a recommendation for thread sealant or something before screwing in the adapters?

What is the round O-ring part number that fits the TM-12-L valve. I don't know what kind of sand filter I have as its about 17 years old. I clamp the valve to the filter. The O-ring is round and about 1/4" thick and 7" to 8" in diameter (it fits in the valve groove so there cant be many) Thanks guys.

John, This valve is a clamp on style valve. You would release the pressure in the system then remove the clamp assembly to remove the valve.

I have a TM-12-L. Recently changed pipe from 1-1/4" to 1-1/2". Started leaking through backwash, changed spider gasket. Still leaking. Changed back to 1-1/4", still leaking. I have a 1hp pump, can this valve Handel the flow rate or does it need replaced?

Jeremy, I would recommend inspecting the spring on the handle assembly. if the spring is not compressing/expanding like it should, you will not get a water tight seal.

Looking to replace my Multi-port valve. The filter and valve have no markings and all the labels are worn off. The pool and filter were here when I bought the house as a foreclosure. No idea how old the pool it or even who installed it. I am getting water out the waste port when filtering. Also looks like some of the water is by passing the filter and going back into the pool when I vacuum. Can anyone tell from the pictures if this will work or should i just be looking for a new filter?

my praher multiport valve only has " tm-12" on it with no letter or number to follow. i can not find a valve anywhere that only has " tm-12" on it. what does the letter(s) after the tm-12 represent? and would this valve be the correct replacement?

The letters after the TM-12 represent various different applications, we would need to I.D. what filter you have to determine if the valve is correct. see image supplied that shows what model filters the TM-12-L fits.
From a previous part question I found this to be the correct part for my Sta-Rite T-200 BP-1. My new question is does this come with a pressure gauge if not what gauge works for it? Thanks.

This valve assembly does not come with the pressure gauge. You can use the bottom mount pressure gauge part number 4726-0 that you can view by clicking here.

Yes, I uploaded an image, there is a red rectangle around the white plug, you will remove the plug and install the pressure gauge with Teflon Tape around the threads of the gauge.
Ok back again. I have a STA Rite T-200 BP-1 and i was told this is the valve i need. The inlet and outlet ports do not match is that a problem? Pic included. Thanks.
The Praher Top Mount Valve 6-Way - TM-12-L is the suggested replacement for the T-200BP-1 you will require replumbing the valve, but it is the correct valve for the filter. Yes I believe the new valve has a different port location than the old valve. So yes you would still use this valve and do a little re-plumbing of the lines.

This was the model you recommended to me to replace the multiport valve for my Sta-Rite Cristal Flo Pool Filter, Model # T-170 BP. Before I purchase, I want to check about the plumbing hook up. The description says the plumbing size is 1 1/2 in. with a female thread port type. My current set up is with 1 1/2 inches lines that connect to the valve with a male thread port type. I should be able to use the same lines and change coupling set up to that it fits the female thread port, correct?
