How do I bleed air with a Tagelus multiport valve?
Reply
Tagelus multiport valves before 1993 did not have an air bleeder valve and had to self-purge the air through the return lines. If your valve is 1993 or after, there is an air bleeder valve towards the bottom of the valve next to the lower port - about the size of a quarter. Turn knob counter-clockwise to release air.

Does this valve fit in a PAC-FAB Model TA 35D?? Can I have access to a diagram??

Herman, Yes, the 4600-2506 is one of several valves that will fit. We do have a Pentair Tagelus Parts Page.

You will need to look at the Tagelus Valve Options at the Top of This Page. First you will need to determine if your valve is clamp on or screw on, if it is clamp on then your choice would be this valve. If you have a screw on valve you would then need to determine if your filter is from prior to Nov. 1991 or after Nov. 1991. You can also determine this based on if you have V Threads on the Valve or Buttress Threads on the valve.

Hi Joh, this would be the correct replacement valve for the 272526 valve assembly on a Tagelus Deluxe sand filter.

Removed clamp that holds valve in place. Wiggle it until old valve came free. Lubed all connecting fittings and o-ring on new valve, positioned the valve, and pushed firmly into place.
You can tell when you have valve in place because the clamp will not fit until you have new valve positioned properly. Tighten clamp with screws provided making sure you get nuts in recess on clamp. Reconnected the plumbing with unions removed from the old valve. Open vent turn pump on and close vent. Check for leaks. Job is now complete..

(5 out of 5 stars) Perfect replacement for my old cracked top valve

Pros: Everything fit, worked fine.
I was in need of a replacement valve for my Pentair Tagelus TA60D filter that was split or cracked on one port. Ordered from INYO Pools.com and the valve performed just like the original, perfect replacement. Was surprised that the valve included pressure gage and O ring installed.

(5 out of 5 stars) Great replacement

Pros: Good price, solid replacement, all hardware included
Cons: No
Our original 6-position Valve was over 15 years old and getting a bit tired. This replacement was a direct drop-in replacement and came with the 2-piece collar, hardware, sight glass and pressure gauge. The new valve instantly got us +4 PSI pressure, so we know that air was getting into the system through the original somewhere. For $125, it was worth getting new.
