Do the same shaft seals fit all Hayward pumps? Mine is a Hayward 1 hp pump.

Hello. The shaft seal PS-201 does not fit all Hayward Pumps. It is specific for the Max-Flo, the Super Pump and the Super 2 , of the Hayward line. The shaft seal is determined by the specific pump housing it is going into. Please check this CHART to see which seal goes with the Hayward Pump Model you have.

Hi Brian, yes this is the correct shaft seal for the Hayward Super Pump model SP2607X10. If you need the complete seal kit that will be the GOKIT3 in a chlorine swimming pool and the GOKIT3SALT for a saltwater pool.

Looking to replace my Hayward Northstar motor 193221 and found the correct replacement, but not sure which shaft seal to get. The pool was built around 2003 and cannot find any part number on housing. Which seal should I use or how do I figure it out?

Hello Greg. The Polaris Booster Pump PB4-60 Shaft Seal (2011-Current) is the R0445500. Pump Shaft Seal 3/4" - R0445500 Generic (2011-Current) is the PS201. Pump Shaft Seal 3/4" PS-201 The Generic Polaris Booster Pump PB4-60 Shaft Seal (1994-2011) is the PS1000. Attached please find an exploded parts diagram for the Polaris Booster Pump PB4-60 for the years 2011- Current. Please compare the volute (wet end), Key 5, to your booster pump and confirm a match. Polaris Booster Pump PB4-60 (2011-Current) Note the ridges that extend from the center are curved. In the model years 1994-2011, they are straight.

Thank you for contacting Inyo Pools, Pump Shaft Seal 3/4" PS-201 and if you have a salt pool Pump Seal 201, Extra Heavy Duty PS3868 (Saltwater Pools) - PS-386 are the right seals for your Super pump.

Hi Tom, the Pump Shaft Seal 3/4" PS-201 will be perfect for your Hayward Super II Pump 2 HP Dual Speed - SP3015X202AZ. We would recommend the Heavy Duty Saltwater Pump Seal PS3868 if you have a saltwater pool. For a few dollars more you can get the Freshwater Tune-Up Kit or the Saltwater Tune-Up Kit which contains the motor shaft seal as well as new o-rings to replace the ones you will encounter when replacing the motor shaft seal and some lubricant to help the o-rings do their job and last a long time.

I have Hayward SP2600VSP pump and can't figure out the correct shaft seal for it. I bought PS-3868, the ceramic side fits but spring side doesn't. The impeller has a stepped shaft that is 3/4" then steps up to about 1", so the new seal cannot get over that step. I think the correct spring side of the seal needs to be 3/4" on the end facing the ceramic and and 1" on the impeller end, seems like that is what the original OEM one is. Do you know what is the correct seal part number?

Hello. The Hayward Pump Shaft Seal (OEM) - SPX1600Z2 is the shaft seal for the Hayward Super Pump VS model SP2600VSP. The PS-3868 is the U. S. Seal Manufacturing compatible shaft seal. At times, during the removal process, the spring side of the shaft seal comes apart and is not completely removed from the impeller. The spring side metal insert and rubber ring are mistakenly left behind. Attached please find Impeller 2.5 THP (2HP Full)- SPX1621C product details. Please scroll through the photos until viewing the reverse side. The impeller stem should be "clean" from the impeller to the threads prior to the new shaft seal being installed.
