How many hours per day should I run my pump?
Reply
There are many factors to consider; bather load, gallons of water, pump horsepower, type and size of filter just to name a few. A good guideline is 8-10 hours a day. On the cooler days and early and late season, you can cut the run time down to 4-6 hours because there is usually less swimmers and cooler water requires less chemicals. In peak season, when it is the hottest, raising the run time to 10-12 hours per day will help to keep the pool clean and circulating during it’s time of heaviest use.

Will this pump handle a 24ft above ground pool or would I need a 1.5 hp?
Reply
Paul, Yes this 1 Hp Above Ground Pool Pump can handle a 24ft round above ground pool. A 1.5 hp pump will be excessive but if you have a big enough filter you can use a 1.5hp pump.

I have a pentair pump 1.5 hp model 019326210 would like to replace it with this one will this work, what are the amps, and is it quiet thanks
Reply
This pump draws 8.8 amps and is a suitable replacement for your Pentair pump. This pump would be as quiet as any standard above ground pool pump.

I have a Reliant model #72729, 115 volts, 60 hz, 8.8 amps, 1-1/2 pipe size, 1 HP. My pool is 27 feet. Would this one work for my pool or would i be better off getting the 1.5 HP? And would it works for my pool? I have a huge sand filter with it
Reply
For a 27' round pool I would suggest going up to the 1-1/2 HP Above Ground Pool Pump especially since you have a very large sand filter which likely will have no problem handling the output of the 1-1/2 HP pump.

I have a 24 foot round above ground pool.the motor is a 1 hp 3450 rpm part number 9402-7588 description of pump is S7LR6. this is a JACUZZI system. I want to know what will enterchange.where I can get one for a reasonable price.
Reply
Hi Edward, We do carry your same Jacuzzi 1HP SLR Pump here. You could possibly go with the NE6150B pump but you may have some re-plumbing. The Jacuzzi SLR Pump would be a drop in replacement.

Does this pump have an on and off switch ?
Reply
No this pump does not have an on/off switch. We would suggest going with this Above Ground Pool Pump Timer, which gives you an on/off switch as well as a timer.

Will this pump replace my -aquatools model at2410110pump
Reply
Hi Bill, Yes this would be a great replacement for your AquaTools pump the plumbing ports may not be in the exact location as your AquaTools pump but if your are using flexible hoses this would not be an issue. This pump uses a 115V standard 3-prong cord so you may want to double check that your current pump is using a standard 3 prong cord.
Reply
Is this pump a dual voltage (208/230 - 115V) and what's the amperage rating?
Reply
Hi John, This is not a dual voltage pump it is 115V only and comes with a cord and standard 3-prong plug. The amp draw on the 3/4 HP PureLine Pure Pro XL is 7.3 amps

I have a Sand Dollar SD60 system on a 22' X 52" round pool. I think the 1 1/2hp pump on it right now is overkill. Would this pump be a good replacement pump for my current system and still be able to efficiently run water through the sand filter?
Reply
Hi Brad, A 1-1/2 hp pump is too much if you're just using it for water circulation. The PL1500 can be used as a replacement, and circulate the water in you pool efficiently.

Hi, OJ. Unfortunately, this pump will not be sufficient for your pool because it's designed specifically for above ground, not in-ground pools.

What type of enclosure is needed for weather proofing the motor?

Hi, Preston. You can use the Protective Pool Motor Cover - R221016 if the pump will be placed outdoors or you can build a small shed to house your pool equipment.

Hi, Viet. This pump can be used to filter a koi pond depending on the pumps location and elevation. It can also operate 24/7.

Any reason that I couldn't unbolt the motor from the pump, rotate the discharge 90 degrees, bolt it back together and use it as such? (This is what we did with a SP1575, for which this is a replacement)

The PL1500 is only able to be used as a vertical discharge pump.

Hi. This pump will not work with Intex adapters and will be too strong for the Intex filter. I would recommend using the PureLine 19" Above Ground Pool Sand Filter System W/ 1 H.P Pump - PL1511 or Jacuzzi Laser 16" Sand Filter W/ 1 HP Pump - 94084953

Could you use this as a separate stand alone pump from the one that filters the pool to use for vacuum to waste?

Hi, Jack. Only if the water level is higher than the pump, you'll need a self-priming inground pool pump like the PureLine Pure Flow Pool Pump.

will my flex hoses connect with the quick connects? I now use hose clamps.

Cedric, The quick disconnect would be used if you planned on hard plumbing the system. If you would like to use hoses and clamps, you would need to order hose adapters.

At 7.3 Amp vs. 12 Amp with the same RPM, it seems that it would save a lot of electricity. Am I missing something? Thanks!

Hi Don, yes the PL1500 3/4 HP would be sufficient for a 15' x 30' and would save you a considerable amount on your operational costs.

I have a StarBright Century LASAR Pool/Spa Motor BN50 2 speed, for a 24 foot round 52 in high above ground. It also has the round 3 prong plug. I think I can use your 3/4 hp pump but do you have the round 3 prong plug for it. Your thoughts on the pump size too.
Reply
Hi Bob, Normally for a 24' Round pool we would suggest this 1 HP Pure Pro XL Pool Pump please note it would be a single speed and not a dual speed. Typically you could use your old twist lock plug if it is still in good working condition. You would simply remove the cord from you old pump and attach to the new pump.

Good day, Bridgette, yes if you have the PowerFlo Matrix Pump 3/4 HP - SP1591 the PL1500 PureLine 3/4 HP Above Ground Pool Pump would be a good switch. You would not be able to use the Hayward connections so you would need to order either Above Ground Pool Pump Hose Adapter - 1 Pack (417-6060) or 1.5" Male Threaded Union x 1.5" Slip Union - PL1643.

The Pureline series pump that we currently have that matches that original model HP would be the side-discharge PL1505 which may require some plumbing adjustments and the direct replacement for your original model is the 340210.

Hi Rogelio,This pool pump is too large for your size game Sandpro 50D. I would suggest either getting a smaller pump or a larger filter depending on the size of your above ground swimming pool.

Hi, For your sized pool and filter this 3/4 HP pump should work just fine. As long as your pump and filter are using hoses to connect to each other then this pump will hook up to Hayward filter with no issue.

My pool (9x19x5 intex). Sand filter rated up to 30 GPM and max working pressure 30 psi. It says it takes about 100 pounds of sand.

I have a cp2000-s pump 0.48 HP, would this be a good replacement pump
Reply
Hello. The Pureline 3/4 HP Above Ground Pump would be a nice upgrade from your 0.48 HP current pump. Please check the pool filter's maximum flow capacity, gallons per minute - GPM, to make sure the filter can accommodate the increase in water flow this pump may produce. Additionally, there may be some re-plumbing required to add this pump to your existing circulation system.
