How many hours per day should I run my pump?
 Reply

A  Answered on 10/8/2013 by InyoPools Product Specialist Patrick P.

There are many factors to consider; bather load, gallons of water, pump horsepower, type and size of filter just to name a few. A good guideline is 8-10 hours a day. On the cooler days and early and late season, you can cut the run time down to 4-6 hours because there is usually less swimmers and cooler water requires less chemicals. In peak season, when it is the hottest, raising the run time to 10-12 hours per day will help to keep the pool clean and circulating during it’s time of heaviest use.

Will this pump handle a 24ft above ground pool or would I need a 1.5 hp?
 Reply

A  Answered on 5/6/2015 by InyoPools Product Specialist Lennox H.

Paul, Yes this 1 Hp Above Ground Pool Pump can handle a 24ft round above ground pool. A 1.5 hp pump will be excessive but if you have a big enough filter you can use a 1.5hp pump.

replaced pump

Written on 6/19/2018 by Guest

We replaced our old pump (old one was bigger HP and more expensive) with this 3/4 HP and I couldn't be happier. It works perfectly!! It is so much quieter than our old one and it works 100% more efficiently. So easy to install too, would highly recommend!
