could you match an impellar for me by knowing only the diffuser part number.

Hello Doug - The impeller should be part number 5056-09D. Here is a link to view the measurements. This should help you verify the impeller.

It is possible that the diffuser will still work okay but if the cracks pass completely through the plastic then I would advise to replace it. Also since it may just be the beginning stages of wear and getting brittle then I would advise to replace the diffuser.

Sorry for so many questions. From the my pump # in the pic., which diffuser would I need to get? Mine had a lot build up, or corrosion on it. Or, is it something that can be cleaned up and reused?

Pros: Exact Fit
Cons: Not simple installation
With numerous pine and fir trees near my pool, the small little needles can make it past the skimmers, often getting lodged between the impeller and the defuser. Eventually the impeller and defuser wear down and even the slightest gap can cause a loss of pump efficiency. Installation is not hard, but not simple either. Plenty of instructions on YouTube and can be accomplished with basic handtools. Fortunately, this part is a direct drop-in replacement for my Sta-rite pump and things are back up to pressure and efficiency.

Pros: OEM fit, No issues
Cons: No screws
First one arrived broken but was replaced after I sent a picture of the damaged unit still inside the package. Keep your screws! I threw mine away and this does not come with new screws.

Pros: Easy to install
Cons: none
Our original diffuser had some cracks. The pump was noisy. I replaced this in about 5 minutes with no problem. The pump is now quieter and more efficient.
