Can this work with a 56J frame? I need to replace the single speed motor on my Hayward SP2615x20 pump. As I read the reviews on the 2 speed units, they make sense, but seem like I would only use the higher speed at opening and backwashing - so adding another timer t my intermatic mechanical timer sounds like a waste of time and money. thx

Hi, Larry. This Dual Speed Canopy Toggle Switch will not fit a 56J motor. You can use either Part # 1011431-001 or 17590450 depending on the body style 56J motor you have.

Hi, Clement. Yes, this Toggle Switch and Canopy Kit - 2512558-001 will work with the B2982 dual speed motor.

Do I need this toggle switch as my controller switches the pump motor from high to low automaticly.

Hi. Gary. You will NOT need a toggle switch since you already have a controller.
