Hi, Ray. This Pump Seal 100 - PSR100 will not fit the Doughboy Powerline pool pump. We do not carry a pump seal that will fit. You may need to contact DOUGHBOY @ 866-DOUGHBOY.

I don't know if my dura-glas is pre or post 98. The pump model tag was painted over. It has an A.O. Smith C48J2PA105C1 motor. Do I need this pump seal or the new style?

I would just use the new style seal and then remove the copper cone insert that would be in the seal plate if it is an old generation model. That would allow the new style seal to fit properly.

Hello, yes this shaft seal is compatible with the Sta-Rite Dura-Glass/ Max E Glass pool pump manufactured prior to 1998. One way to tell if it was, is if the seal plate has the copper or steel insert in it where the shaft seal sits. If there is no metal insert there then you can use the shaft seal part number 5250-104.

Will part # 5250-100 work with a CHII 1 hp pump and a VGreen variable speed pump?

No, this would not be the correct shaft seal for a Challenger CHII pump. You would need the 5250-104. If you have salt water or want a heavy-duty seal, use part number 5250-210.
