After the heater runs for a while it goes to #2 fault. What is this and how do we prevent this
Reply
Hello Len- The Fault you are getting sounds like it's the High Limit 2 Fault. This means one of your high limit switches on the heat exchanger is going bad. Raypak states an erratic high limit is often characteristic of an internal heat exchanger problem, e.g. scale build-up, defective bypass. You may need to call a tech for them to be able to identify exactly which one is bad.

Hi, forgot to ask...is it true that Raypak will not offer support or warranty unless heater is installed by a Raypak certified specialist? If so, where are you supposed to fine one when located on the northeast coast?
Reply
Hello Nikki, with Raypak there is a 90-day warranty if you do a self-install. If you have a licensed gas and or plumber do the install then there would be a full warranty. After install be sure to register the product on their website. If you were to need service you can contact them through their warranty portal and Raypak will reach out to a center in your area.
