I currently have a Pentair Challenger model number 346204. Would it be compatible for me to replace it with Pentair Challenger model number 343233?

Hello Susan Yes you will be able to go with the 343233. it will be the same specs as the pump you currently have

Is this a complete pump? The picture shows a motor with the pump, does this pump come with the motor?
Also, is there an energy efficient direct replacement for this pump?
I currently have a Pentair Pinnacle 342854 with a Century motor (B2853). The pump has a leak and the motor has a bad bearing. Just want to make sure I am replacing with compatible parts that are energy efficient and won't break the bank.
If I need any other parts please list them in the reply. Thank you.

Hi Michele, This is a complete pump which includes the motor and the pump housing. There is not an energy efficient model to this particular Challenger pump, you can go with a dual or variable speed pump if energy savings is your top priority. If you get this pump you will not need any other parts just pvc pipe and connectors for installation.

So this challenge for one horse power pump comes with the hair and lint trap also

If you are referring to the pump basket that fits inside of the strainer pot then yes, it will come with the pump basket.

I noticed that the Pentair Challenger 34233 is not energy efficient. Is there another pump that you would recommend that is?

I currently have the model 343233. It is 15 years old and running fine, but it seems to be getting a little louder, but there is no screeching. It runs 16 hrs/day 5 months/year. Would you recommend replacing, and if yes, with the same model or is there a more efficient and quieter model you would recommend. This pump has been trouble free and I would like that to continue. Very pleased so far...Thank you.

Hi, Wayne. With the pump being 15 years old I would recommend replacing it. There is not an energy efficient option as a complete pump, but you do have the option of replacing just the motor on your existing pump with the B841 Full Rate EE motor along with the seals.

We have pool pump part number 342854, says discontinued! Replacement showing part number 343233! Our motor is new, can you buy the pump separate from the motor and will our motor adapt to the new pump. Or do we have to buy the pump and motor together??

Hi, Kenneth. Pump housings are not available without the motor, you would have to purchase each part that makes up the pump separately which will total more than a new pump.

I'm looking for an O-Ring seal for this pump. It is leaking where the clamp holds it together. I'm assuming the O-Ring is broken. I haven't opened it up yet. I need a model number for the O-Ring.

the motor i have with this pump (CHII-N1-1A) is not working anymore, what are my choices for replacement motors with this pump ? What about the variable speed motor ? is this going to save energy ? Is there any configuration i need to change on the pump itself ? The motor installed was 1 HP, 1.25 SF, 7 - 168452 - 04, 230/115 V, 7.1/14.2 Amps. I am not looking to satay with the same motor but replace for something better that works with he existing pump. dual or variable speed. changing kit ?
