Is your pool pump motor running loud, leaking or humming? These are all signs that it’s time to be replaced. The PureLine replacement motor is made of the highest quality components like sealed ball bearings, which means it is an ultra quiet motor. Because of its high-quality construction, the PureLine replacement motor is backed by a full 2-year warranty.

When it comes to replacing your motor Inyo has you covered. We have created a ton of resources to make this project a snap, like our Video on How to Replace a Pool Motor. This video walks you through all the steps to replace your motor. Most of our customers decide to tackle this project on their own, and by following our video they complete the project in about an hour.

When replacing your motor we highly recommend a tune up kit which includes all the seals and gaskets for your pump. Many times when you use your old seals you may have leaking. Seal leakage is one item which will void the motor's warranty so make sure to protect your investment with a tune-up kit. Below we have listed the tune up kits for some of the most popular pool pumps.

I need to replace my pool pump motor for my salt pool. Is PL2853 the correct one? I have a Pentair 7-177474-01, Frame 56Y, Hz 60, Amps 7.1/14.2, Phase 1, Volts 230/115, HP (just shows ----), SF (also shows ----). It is attached to a Whisperflo WF-24 part number 011772. And is the GOKIT32SALT the correct tune up kit? Thank you.

Hi, Your pump is actually a 1 HP Full Rate Pump which is equivalent to a 1.5 HP uprate motor so you would need the PL2854 1.5 HP Up Rate Replacement Motor We do show where you purchased the 1 HP up rate motor would you like for us to bill your credit card the difference and ship out the 1.5 HP Up Rate Motor, also we would suggest this Super Flo Tune Up Kit when replacing your motor. Finally here is a Video on How to Replace a Pool Motor which you may find helpful when tackling this project. We will put your order on hold until we hear back from you on how you would like to proceed.

"Screaming" Pool Pump

Written on 4/10/2019 by Guest

1) I shut off the breaker in the panel for POOL.
2) I took off the cover for wires, unhooked them.
3) I used a ratchet to separate motor from the pump.
4) I used a hex key to separate the "flange" from the motor, that has an impeller.
5) I cleaned the gasket recess, lubricated it, and inserted the new gasket.
6) I cleaned up all of the impeller, housing, etc.
7) I attached the flange and impeller to the motor.
8) I attached the motor assembly to the pump.
9) I attached the wires to the motor, using a new wiring "clamp."
10) I primed the pump with about a gallon of water.
11) I reset the pool breaker, and NO more screaming motor/pump = purrs.

My factory installed pentair pump quit working.

Written on 6/30/2018 by Guest

Finding the right pump eas easy! I emailed inyopools, gave them the motor number from the factory pentair motor, and they replied back in a couple hours with three different options. I chose one and it was delivered in about 5 days.
I ordered the bearing and seal kit with my motor for an extra $30. Overall I saved $200 from purchasing at my local pool store and an additional $130 saved by doing it myself.
Install was easy and straight forward. I followed the instructions on the YouTube video from inyopools on YouTube. The only issue i had was when re installing the the impeller it is necessary to hold the shaft still with a screwdriver or pair of pliers. The motor from inyopools had a small rubber plug covering the back of the shaft that appeared to be part of the metal plate covering the back of the motor. It took some searching and experimenting to discover it. It would have been handy to have some kind of diagram or instructions in the box for that reason.
