What do I use to keep the cover in place?
Reply
In-Ground Winter Covers come with straps positioned every 4 feet along the edge of the cover. The loops are used to hold water bags, which will hold down the cover.

Can you mail me samples of the 8,15 and 20 year in ground winter covers?
Reply
Unfortunately the manufacturer does not supply samples of those particular winter covers. We can only supply samples of the safety covers.

I have small children and recently purchased a house with a pool. Is there anything I can do to make the pool area safe?
Reply
While nothing can fully replace responsible adult supervision, I would recommend using a safety cover while the pool is not in use. A safety cover is held in place by anchors and allows some peace of mind knowing that if someone enters the pool area they will not fall into the pool.

Does this cover keep rainwater out of the pool? I have a tree with leaves, and want to stop leaves and rain water from getting into the pool. I have a surface pump to keep the rainwater pumped off.
Reply
If you want to keep rain water out of the pool, I would recommend either the 15 year or 20 year warranty covers. The water must be pumped off of the cover periodically.

My interest is in preventing evaporation in our drought stricken state during the summer months. I am looking for lightweight and easily removable. Will this cover do the trick?

Does the package come with water bags?

Hello, the water bags are sold separately, and can be found on our Water Tubes page.

how many bags would you recommend for a 20 x 40 cover

You show left side step layout. Do these covers come with left side step cover?
Reply
Hello, This is a standard winter pool cover. They do not come as a right or left step. You would need a safety cover with a right or left step.

My pool is a 20 x 40 with a 2' x 4' step at one end, diving board at the other end. Would the standard cover for a 20 x 40 fit OK?
Reply
Are the steps flush with the edge of the pool? If not, then it wouldn't be big enough to cover the steps.

my pool is 20 x 40, with a 4 x 8 bump out at one 20' end for steps. My former cover was polyeurethyne, and laid on the water (I also have a safety cover attached flush to the deck with grommets every 8 feet). can you supply a cover with attached 4x8 cover for the bump-out?

Hello, there are no mils on these covers they are made with the strength and durability of covers costing twice as much. Rugged polyethylene scrim and coating means that this cover can withstand winters worst.

pl7952 cover how many water tubes and lengths do you recommend?

Hello Robert, You would need 12 - 10' Double Water Tubes & 2 - 8' Double Water Tube.

my pool is kidney shaped and capacity is 20,000 liters please how do i know the measurement, my neighbors tree practically empties into my pool.
thanx

Hello Iya- You will need to take physical measurements of the longest long part and the widest wide part of your pool to determine the correct size cover you will need.

I thought I was purchasing a solid cover last year, but in actuality it wasn't solid. If we put the cover pump on, it siphoned pool water. If we didn't, it filled with water and eventually sunk to the bottom in the shallow end. Is you solid cover actually solid? I have a pump to put on cover so need a surefire solid cover.

Hello, The PL7952 is a solid winter cover.

I have a 20 footx40 foot Lazy L with steps and diving board. Will a 25x50 foot cover be sufficient enough?
Reply
Hi, Gary. You're unable to use one cover for a lazy L pool, another cover will be required for the short size.
Reply
Do you carry "L" shape covers? Pool is 18' x 36' with steps on right side at shallow end.
Reply
Hi, Clinton. We do not carry any special shape winter covers. You will have to get a cover that spans the total length and with of your pool.

I have a 20X40 In ground rectangle pool. My question is that I currently use a safety cover, but would like to have a winter cover that keeps out water and debris? What is the best way to cover my pool knowing that I want the safety cover on the pool for safety? Do I put the safety cover down first, then put the winter cover on top?
Reply
Good afternoon, yes the safety cover would be installed first with a winter cover laid over the top on that held down with water tubes or blocks.

Hi ,I am from California and I always put a cover on mid October. I never tried yours before. I have a lap pool that is 8x40 with a swim-out that makes it 10FT .Usually I get a big one and cut it myself. What would you suggest with yours? I would like a solid one. Thank You so much,Barbara

Hi, Barbara. These Winter cover cannot be cut or altered to fit your specific pool size. You will have to roll up the excess.

I have a 16 X 32 rectangle pool. Do you sell a waterproof cover for that. I can spend a small fortune so any advice is appreciated.

I purchased a PureLine winter cover with a 20 year warranty this spring and didn't open the package until I closed my pool. The warranty card indicates it needs to be filled out with in 10 days of purchase. is that true?
Reply
Hi, Thomas. That is accurate, however, if it was not done it will not void the warranty.

Can I use a solid winter cover over my mesh safety cover?
Reply
Hi John, We would not suggest that as the anchors are not designed to withstand resistance from two covers at once and could be a hazard.

I need a cover with center steps. Do you carry the..

Purchased the recommend water tubes for this cover, what is the configuration for the tubes? Can't seem to figure it out without either large gaps or overhang.
Reply
Hi Sonia, we recommend 2-10' tubes at each narrow end of the cover and 4-10' tubes and 1-8' tube per side. Butt the tubes on the long sides together as closely as possible to minimize overhang.
