The height from the bottom of the motor to the top is 12". That is with the cover door closed. When opening the cover door, the highest point from the bottom of the motor to the top of the cover is 17".

Hi, I have two questions:
1. Does this replacement motor come with any spacer in its package? It is 48Y frame and I need replace a 56Y motor.
2. Can I bypass my existing T106R timer and use the timing control built-in the pump?

Hello Curtis. According to Nidec, the NPTQ270 comes with a rubber spacer for the motor support (if required). The US/Nidec Neptune Variable Speed Motor 2.70 THP Square Flange 230V 48Y - NPTQ270 is designed to be wired directly to the power source. The use of a timer is not necessary. Please note Section - Installation Instructions - Wiring the Pump Motor, page 12 in the attached Neptune Installation and Operation Manual
