What is the outer diameter of the wet end inlet and outlet?
Is the 1 1/2" the inner diameter of the inlet and outlet? or is the 1 1/2" the outer diameter?

the 1-1/2" is based on the plumbing pipe size going to the pump & not on a physical measurement from the wet end. The inner portion of the unions on the wet end will be closest to the 1-1/2"

The Waterway Spa Pump 1 HP, 115V - 3410410-15 is for 1.5" PVC intake and discharge. If you would like to order the Pump Union, 1-1/2" FBT x 1-1/2" Slip - 0602-15 (per each) they are available and make for a nice clean installation.

I believe it said; "fpt" which means female pipe thread. Therefore, it is the ID.
