Can you use the crosswinds 50-I heat pump on a 24’ round by a 52” high pool in north eastern Ohio??

Hi Thomas for a 24' Round we would suggest the 61,000 BTU Cross Wind Heat Pump

Would this work for a semi-inground 18' round pool?

Hello Mike. The Raypak CrossWind Heat/Cool Pump 50-1 will work very well on your semi-inground 18' round pool. Please note; Heat Pumps with Heat/Cool ability transfer heat energy from the surrounding air to your pool's water, and vice-versa to maintain a set temperature. Their ability to heat water is dependant upon the air's ambient temperature.

Would this be adequate for an 8'x15' 3825 gallon outdoor Endless Pool in Houston? Would it also be adequate for Bellingham, WA?

Hello Michael. The Raypak CrossWind Heat/Cool 50-I would be a good choice for your 18' X 15" 3825 gallon Endless Pool located in Houston TX. Raypak has an excellent Customer Service Department available at telephone 805-878-5300 which can be a great resource for answering questions concerning Heat Pump/Heater sizing & selection per geographic location.

Have an above ground 18' x 52" pool. Would like to confirm if this would be adequate for May to June in Northern New Jersey, or would need a larger size. Thanks.

Your pool has about 250 square feet of surface area; this chart shows you that you can expect about a .5 degree increase in temperature per hour of running a heater like the Raypak CrossWind Heat/Cool Pump. I think you would want something much larger for your location. View our guide on How to Select an Above Ground Pool Heater to help you out, and don't forget to get a solar blanket to help keep the heat in when the pool is not in use.
