When should I change the sand in my filter?

What is the kit closure for? I have an ancient TR100 that has a 8 1/2" western series dome. The dome is broken and the part is obsolete. The diameter of the lid is 8.5". Could this kit replace the clear dome? Thanks

I called Pentair Technical Assistance ( 800-831-7133 ) and asked them. They said for a filter that is older than 2001, the part number I was given is Pentair 154856 - which is our part number 4600-4856.

How many gallon pool will a Triton II work for? We have a model 140210. Can the valve on the side be converted into a multi position valve such as bottom filter, skimmer filter, backwash filter and both bottom and skimmer?

Hi, The Triton II TR100 Filter Side Mount 30" Tank has a flow rate of 98 GPM. It can handle 47,040 in an 8 hour period. You can use a Multi-port valve based on the size plumbing you have. The Valves can be found via the Pentair Triton 2 Fiberglass Sand Filter Parts.
