Hi, Christine. Unfortunately, there is not a LED replacement option for the AquaLumin fixture. The Pentair AquaLumin III Lights are the only replacement option.

How many lumens does this white only LED bulb put out? Trying to upgrade a pool to meet the SCDHEC standard of 8.33 lumens per square foot for a ~ 3100 square foot pool with 4 existing 500 R40 lights

Hi Kent the Lumen rating for this bulb on white is 2,600 lumens.

I see that the PL5849 is 2600 lumens. Is there anything brighter? The one I had is 6000k
Reply
Hi Dale, 2,600 lumens is the brightest we have. I was not aware that there was an LED pool bulb as bright as 2,600 lumens, is it possible the 6,000K is the Kelvin rating? The Kelvin rating on this bulb is 6000k

Thinking of converting again to white LED.
Does this light produce a true white similar to an incandescent bulb? Is the 35W LED comparable to a 500W incandescent?
Reply
Hi, Tim. This bulb does have a pure white illumination. This bulb is equivalent to a 300-400 watt incandescent bulb.

My electrician asked me why a regular sealed PAR 30 LED lamp would not work as the base is the same.

Hi, Allen. The base will work, however, the fixture size will determine if the bulb will fit.

Hi, Gregory. In order to confirm if this bulb is compatible, we will need the fixture series number. The Amerlite Lens Gasket (79101600) - O-170 is compatible with your fixture.

The light reads: series 7855xxxx, 7845xxxx, 7895xxxx watts 500 volts 120 bulb type R-40 goes on to read "use withModel No. 7821xxxx,7822xxxx,7823xxxx 79206700 or CN-5 fixture housing wet niche type Will this bulb fit? Will need 2 gaskets and bulbs . Thanks for your help.
The PureColors bulb is no longer available. The ColorSplash LXG LED Pool Lamp 120V - LPL-P2-RGB-120 and Guardian Silicone Lens Extra Heavy Duty Gasket for Pentair Amerlite - LPL-G-P can be used. The Color Splash bulb is equivalent to a 300Watt incandescent. It is not recommended for larger pool or pools with darker surfaces as it will not illuminate well.

Hi Micah, yes this bulb is compatible with your Pentair Amerlite light however this bulb is no longer available. You can however use the J & J Colorsplash model LPL-P2-RGB-120.

There could be a few reasons why a pool light bulb may fail prematurely. In examples, power surges, a leaking light gasket, many hours of use however if the bulb has failed within the warranty time please contact the retailer that you purchased it with and they can run a warranty claim on it.
