Are these cleaners ok to use for first pool cleaning of the season? I wasn't sure if it is recommended if there may be algae or debris in the water. thanks

If there are layers of debris at the bottom of the pool, I'd manually vacuum it up before using the Dolphin. However, if it is a light covering of leaves and other small debris, the Dolphin can handle that. The leaf canister is not designed to catch algae. I'd recommend shocking the pool and killing the algae before using the Dolphin E30.

The Dolphin E30 comes with one filter. They call it the leaf canister. The ultra-fine cartridge style filter would need to be ordered separately. The part number is 9991458-ASSY.

The power supply has a built-in timer that can tell it to turn on once a week, three times a week, or four times a week.

I am interested in the Dolphin E20 and E30. My pool is 16x32, should I go with the E20 or would it be wise or a waste to buy the E30? I have had 3 Smart Pool Robots and was never happy with the debris that drained out when removing it from the pool! Also the waste removal is ridiculous compared to these Dolphins, which appear so simple, love it! Advice please?

Hi, In this case if your budget can handle it, we would suggest the Dolphin Maytronics Dolphin E30 cleaner over the E20 cleaner as the E30 is a better cleaner. The E30 is more powerful, does a better job with the tile line and has more timer options on the power supply. If you go to the top right of this page and click on the Product Video on the Dolphin E30 Pool Cleaner you may find that video helpful.

Does the E30 work on all pool surfaces? I was told that my pool is not a painted surface, however, I do not recall what type of surface it has.

Thank you I'm glad I was able to help! I will probably be placing an order for the pool cleaner. We have not had very good luck purchasing pool cleaners. We tried the vacumm type, and that broke within a few uses. We tried the Navigator, used it twice and it stopped working. Thank you.

Thanks Elva, I think you will be really happy with this cleaner. I had the same issue on my as the suction cleaner did not work well and then I went over to the robotic and it was night and day the difference for me.

Does the E30 power supply/timer have to be kept out of the rain or is it OK to be outside in Rain?

The power supply is water-resistant but not waterproof. You'd want to keep it covered if you are expecting consistent rain. You would not want to leave the power supply in standing water.

I have a Dolphin Active 30 that has stopped working after 6 years. It worked awesome up until that point. Is the E30 the like replacement?

Hi, In our experience this cleaner will not get stuck on the drain or in corners. Every pool is a little different so we cannot make a 100% guarantee, however on the pools we have tested it on we have not experienced these issues.

The pool is Inground approx. measurements are 40 ‘ X 20 ‘ rectangle with 8 foot deep end. Is this cleaner big enough?

This cleaner is made for pool 20' x 40' and smaller so you should be good. It has a 59' cord so if you put it in the middle of your pool it will work great. I personally own a Maytronic pool cleaner and love it!

Hi, This model has been out for a few years. The E30 does clean the steps. This is a similar unit to the Nautilus CC however I do not know of the exact differences. The Dolphin Active 30i is a Wi-Fi-connected cleaner with multiple cleaning cycles(1 or 2 hours; 1.5 and 2.5 hours available in app) equipped with a 60 ft cord designed for pools up to 50 ft long.
