Can the Stainfree be used before I shock the pool?
Reply
No, shock should not be added to the pool for one week after the Stainfree is added to the swimming pool. If the chlorine needs to be raised you can use small amounts to increase it. The chlorine level should not exceed 2 ppm.

After using this the stains were gone in 24 hours but the next 12 hours the pool has turned cloudy. I went to get my water checked and I use pristine blue and my blue levels were too high, everything else tested great. I cannot shock it for a week - that is the only thing the pool company suggested. what else can I do. I keep vaccuuming and backwashing.

Hi Judith, The pool is cloudy because of the low chlorine level, you can slowly start adding chlorine to the pool.

we are adding a filter aid with Metal Free this evening. do we vacuum tonight? instructions just say add the two products and vacuum, no details about timeline. thanks!

I would recommend adding the product and letting the filter run for at least a few hours. After that, you can turn off the pump overnight to allow the particles to settle to the pool floor and vacuum the following day.
