is it possible to just buy the connector piece that plugs into the mother board? I am getting a no flow indicator and I have just replaced the salt cell and mother board. Pretty sure my flow sensor is ok - but the connection is not.

Hi, The connect is not sold separately, you will have to replace the entire flow switch.

I am getting a check cell reading, which when I pulled the cell off for cleaning, I noticed a turquoise film on the end where the copper switch was housed. After cleaning the cell and wiping off the turquoise residue, I reinstalled the cell. The check light went out but now 3 days later it is back on. Has anyone else had the turquoise residue? Is it time for a new switch? Thank you.

Yes, sounds like it's time for a new flow switch.

My aquarite was showing a salt reading of 1900 last weekend. I added 40 lbs of salt. Several days later the reading was 2200. I added another 40 lbs of salt. Now several days later the reading has dropped to 2100. My pool is just under 15,000 gallons and typically one 40 lb bag of salt would increase the level by about 400 ppm. Does the flow control switch capture the ppm and possibly need replaced? Or could this be a board issue?

Hi, Ed. The flow switch does not relay the salt level to the controller, the cell does. You may need to have the cell tested at a Hayward Repair Center to make sure it's working.

My Hayward Aqua Rite salt system shows a flashing light "no flow" on the control panel. There is significant flow from the pump through the filter then to the salt cell and out to the pool. The display shows the cell is generating at 3000. The flow switch is located before the salt cell but without 12" of strait pipe between the filter and the flow switch. What should I do? Can the salt cell be oriented in either direction or is there a direction of flow required? Thanks

Hi, Brian. Use the steps on page 26-30 of the AquaRite Troubleshooting Guide. The Flow Switch - GLX-FLO-RP may need to be replaced.  The call can be installed in any orientation.

Can just the switch be purchased if it ever fails or does the entire "T" have to be replaced?

Hi, Scott. The Flow Switch - GLX-FLO-RP can be purchased separately.

Someone has cut the line coming from the sensor to the chlorination control box. Can this be repaired some way? If I order a new one, can the sensor be removed from the collar that it is attached to & put in the present collar with out taking everything apart at the pump area?

So you cannot splice the wire to rewire a new sensor cord however, you can remove the sensor from the actual plumbing "T' coupling and install a new sensor from there to the mainboard.

I have the crystal pure 3.0 purchased in Aug.2016. The no flow light is on continuous. salt level has stayed on 2900ppm even after adding the required amount of salt to 3800ppm. temp shows on display but no currents shows. Which one is bad the flow switch or main PBC board

Hi, John. You can test the flow switch using Step 3G on page 30 of the AquaRite Troubleshooting Guide. If the No Flow light stays on, then replace the Flow Switch.

in reply the new flow switch arrived I did the switch test described in your article on the subject the switch did not turn off the flow light so I am assuming that was not the problem. could it be the PCB board any way to test the board what do you suggest.

If the power light is on for the main board then it is not likely the main PCB and if it isnt then we recommend starting with checking the fuse on the board. If those check out okay then we advise increasing the flow through the system to test the flow switch. Either clean, replace or if you have a cartridge filter remove it putting the lid back on to increase that flow. If the no flow light goes away then that is a sign that the filter needs to be deep cleaned, or replaced. If you have a sand filter with a multiport valve then you may have a recirc position on it that would be another way to increase flow and test the switch.

Hello Shawn, yes based on the information provided that would mean a new flow switch should be installed. You would be able to use Goldline / AquaLogic Flow Switch 15' Cable (No Tee) (GLX-FLO-RP) PART # 2807-38

Can you buy just the flow switch and not the sensor? Our lawn mower caught the top part of the tube but the sensor area is still together and good.

Hi Sonia,You can buy the flow switch with the 15' cable with NO tee HERE

I am sorry, for the miscommunication. I do not need the sensor that goes inside the flow switch, I just need the housing pipe.
