My pool temperature is continually 10° cooler than what the temperature displayed on the heater is. Am I in need of a new control board? Have already replaced thermal regulator. Heater is about four years old now.

Hi Ed, did you check the thermistor (temperature sensor) as well? I believe it is a 10K thermistor, so it should read 10,000 ohms at 77 degrees. Here is a link to a chart with the resistances at other temperatures, and here is a link to the thermister commonly used on most Pentair heaters. Please double-check to be sure it is the same one used on your heater by reviewing our Pentair Heater Parts.
