I have a Hayward 2810x15 pump. This pump is over rated for my system and would like to reduce the output in order to reduce the pressure in the system. Can I use this impeller on my 2810x15 to reduce output.

Hi Rick, You can switch the impeller on your 1-1/2 HP Max Flo to the 3/4 HP impeller, if your only concern is reducing flow then this would be fine I would also suggest a Hayward Max-Flo Tune Up Kit. However if you want to reduce operational cost then you would want to replace your 1-1/2 HP motor with a 3/4 HP Max Flo Motor as if you stay with the 1-1/2 HP motor you will be paying to run a 1-1/2 HP motor but only getting the output of the 3/4 HP impeller. If you lower the motor down to the 3/4 HP Max Flo Motor then you will see roughly a 30% reduction in operational costs. I would also suggest the Hayward Max-Flo Tune Up Kit if you are replacing your motor.

I have a superpump 2605X7 with 2607-C impeller. The motor is a 3/4 Hp, but it is drawing 1.2Hp and overheating. Can I replace the impeller with 2605-C? Not all the dimensions are the same. I assume the pump model means a 3/4Hp (2605) with 2607 impeller?

I am replacing an old non Hayward 3/4 hp motor on my super pump. I have the century uct1072 3/4 hp to replace it, however when I was putting it back together I noticed that my impeller is SP2610-C which appears to be for a 1.5HP motor. I can only assume that the original motor was 1.5 hp and the previous owners reused the same impeller when they replaced with a 3/4 hp. Do I need to replace my impeller and if so which one would I need?
Hello Christopher. The Impeller SP2610-C should be replaced with Impeller SPX2605C. SPX2605C Impeller SP2610-C is rated for 1.5 HP Up Rated Motors. The Impeller SPX2605C is rated for 3/4 HP Up Rated Motors, ie. the Century Motors model UCT1072. Utilizing the SP2610-C on a 3/4 HP motor will lead to premature motor fatigue and failure. The impellers are designed to move different volumes of water. The SP2610-C can move more water and is mated to a 1.5 HP motor. The GOKIT3 contains the necessary seals and gaskets to complete the motor replacement. GOKIT3
