I have a Hayward pump housing that has cracked & it is about 20 years old. It appears to be a model 9392 and has 2, 2inch ports and uses a 1 hp motor. The motor is new and has been working for a couple of months before the system stopped pumping, even though the motor kept running. I patched the housing cracks that I could see, and the water is now pumping through, but the pressure is low. Is the housing fairly generic, such that my pump motor and impeller will adapt to it? Thanks.

If your pump is a Hayward Super Pump, then yes this housing with match up with your existing motor and impeller. Hayward only makes one residential pump that has a square pump basket. That is a very telling piece of the pump. Please click on the Hayward Super Pump and see if yours is that pump. There will also be part numbers stamped into the impeller , diffuser and other parts. Please cross-reference before ordering.

I have a super pump 2.0 HP with cracked housing with 2" x 2" inlet and outlet. Is this the correct housing for this pump and will it also replace the housing on the 2.5 HP SPX2621X25 super pump with 2" x 2" inlet/outlet? Will you ship express to Philippines?

Hi, Lawrence. Yes, this Super Pump Housing 2" - SPX1620AA is the correct housing. We're unable to express ship to the Philippines. If you can provide the shipping address I can provide you with a quote.

Bobby, The 5110-07B has 2" ports. If you need 1.5" ports for the Hayward Super Pump, you need the 5110-07A.

My actual pump is pumping air, even after changing all gaskets. I have decided to change the housing since all else is quite new (less than 4 months) I am wondering if going to 2" ports would make any difference. I am piped in 2" all across and the 1 1/2 downsize happens only for a few inches. I need to redo the pool pipes so I have choice of changing to 2" ports. Would it actually make any difference (easing the pump effort) ?

Louis, Since most of the plumbing is already 2", the difference will be minimal in terms of how hard/easy the pump will work. As for your leak, I would recommend checking any fittings or valves before the pump. They can cause the air leaks you are experiencing.

I purchased the Century V-Green 1.65HP motor last year for my Hayward SuperPump. It's working great but as I'm replacing other parts I now have 2" plumbing everywhere except the pump. Can I purchase this housing to swap out my 1 1/2" pump housing and continue using my V-Green motor? Are there other pump parts I need to replace, like impeller if this is possible? Thanks!

Hello Kevin, yes you can use this housing as a replacement. The other items we would recommend would be a new GOKIT3.

This strainer is for a Hayward Super Pump.  I am not sure which pool pump you have.  If you let me know which manufacturer and model pool pump.  I can let you know which strainer you need.

Hello Big Sarge.  The Hayward Super Pump Strainer Housing 2" Ports model SPX1620AA is a compatible replacement for the Hayward Super Pump model SP2615X20.  Please note if your plumbing is 1.5", then the Strainer Housing 1 1/2" is part number SPX1600AA.

Hello.  Based on the photo provided, the pool pump pictured is a Sta-Rite Dura-Glas.  It appears that the Tank Body part C176-47P1 is the part that is leaking and requires replacement.  Tank Body - C176-47P1  The Century Motors model USQ1072 is compatible with the Sta-Rite Dura-Glas pump.  The GOKIT54 contains the replacement motor shaft seal, seal plate gasket, diffuser o-ring, and tank body gasket necessary to complete this project.   Tune Up Kit Sta-Rite Dura-Glas & Max-E-Glas Pump 1998 To Present - GOKIT54   Attached please find an exploded parts diagram of the Sta-Rite Dura-Glas for reference.   Sta-Rite Dura-Glas

I need to replace a Hayward SPX1600AA Pump Strainer Housing. How do I determine if I need 2"X2" or 1.5"X1.5"

The best way to check that is to look at the plumbing coming out of the pump.  If the factory-stamped size of the tubing is not visible then look at the closest fitting (elbow, union).  The fitting should have the size embossed in it somewhere.  Don't forget that plumbing is sized by the inside diameter of the pipe and not the outside diameter.  If you have a pair of calipers handy you can use them and our guide on PVC Pool Pipe Dimensions to determine it as well.
