Pump Housing
I have a Hayward pump housing that has cracked & it is about 20 years old. It appears to be a model 9392 and has 2, 2inch ports and uses a 1 hp motor. The motor is new and has been working for a couple of months before the system stopped pumping, even though the motor kept running.
I patched the housing cracks that I could see, and the water is now pumping through, but the pressure is low.
Is the housing fairly generic, such that my pump motor and impeller will adapt to it?
Thanks.

If your pump is a Hayward Super Pump, then yes this housing with match up with your existing motor and impeller. Hayward only makes one residential pump that has a square pump basket. That is a very telling piece of the pump. Please click on the Hayward Super Pump and see if yours is that pump. There will also be part numbers stamped into the impeller , diffuser and other parts. Please cross-reference before ordering.

Hi,
Will this one be the same size as sp1611XE161?
Which one will be the same for me to replace with the 1611?

I have a super pump 2.0 HP with cracked housing with 2" x 2" inlet and outlet. Is this the correct housing for this pump and will it also replace the housing on the 2.5 HP SPX2621X25 super pump with 2" x 2" inlet/outlet?
Will you ship express to Philippines?

Hi, Lawrence. Yes, this Super Pump Housing 2" - SPX1620AA is the correct housing. We're unable to express ship to the Philippines. If you can provide the shipping address I can provide you with a quote.

This part seems to measure the same as mine, but does this part use 1-1/2 in pvc. Thanks

My actual pump is pumping air, even after changing all gaskets.
I have decided to change the housing since all else is quite new (less than 4 months)
I am wondering if going to 2" ports would make any difference.
I am piped in 2" all across and the 1 1/2 downsize happens only for a few inches.
I need to redo the pool pipes so I have choice of changing to 2" ports.
Would it actually make any difference (easing the pump effort) ?

Louis, Since most of the plumbing is already 2", the difference will be minimal in terms of how hard/easy the pump will work. As for your leak, I would recommend checking any fittings or valves before the pump. They can cause the air leaks you are experiencing.

(5 out of 5 stars) Replacement pump housing

The housing was just what I needed - however, since my old one was around 20 years old, I had to get a new style cover to complete the repair. Luckily I found a local shop that had the cover.

(3 out of 5 stars) I chose an OEM pump housing over a lesser priced aftermarket anticipating a quality product...I do understand things happen. INYO is handling in an excellent manner.

I would have selected the fifth star...I love it...however it leaks at the inlet port. INYO representatives have been VERY responsive and I should be receiving a replacement. Awaiting the order email confirmation. Once replacement installed without leak I will rate as a FIVE star product.
