If you have 2 or more damaged grids, and a cracked or discolored top manifiold then we highly recommend to replace the entire assembly. This is because after 2 or more parts begin to go bad then more will as well not to long after.

I am wondering if the listed DE4820 Filter Cluster is the entire filter assembly inclusive of top, bottom, etc or just the filter pieces.

Part number 4810-65A is the complete grid assembly. It includes the top manifold, bottom manifold, steel rod, and grids

Yes, that is the correct part number for replacement. I do recommend replacing the Elbow Outlet O-ring (O-24) - 137 at the time of installing the new Grid Cluster / Complete Assembly.

the existing filters in myde2400 are 24 X11.the one dex2400dc are only 17 inch long..is that ok?

My Hayward DE filter grids are in their 15th season we hose them down at least 3-4 times when we open the pool and run the filter a lot to get it clear. The pressure starts out normal on the the gauge usually at 20 psi, but the flow from the jets isn’t as strong as it use to be and the pressure will drop over a few hours. Is it possible that the grids could be totally clogged and not filtering the water properly, could it be the cause of the low flow.

Hi Colleen, That is amazing that you have got 15 seasons out of the grids, I think your maintenance of washing them down has really helped prolong their life. What you have explained typically occurs when the grids are on there last legs and need to be replaced. Normally we see pool owners get about 5 years out of there grids so I think its time for a new set of grids.

Hi I have a pro grid DE filter that is 10 years old i think i need to replace the grids ( i have never replaced any) i am not sure which model i have i measured the grids they are 24 inches long, the filter is 40 1/2 from bottom to the top of the valve, any help would be appreciated

Hi Frank, If you have 24" grids then this 48 Sq. Ft. Grid assembly on this page is what you need. If it's been 10 years then its definitely time to replace your grids.

is this part genuine Hayward parts, also i seem to find the small gasket that fits over the PVC fitting that slips on when you replace the complete grid system i am guessing its around 2 or 2 1/2 round, it seems like my DE has flowed back in the pool Thank you
