My inground pool was installed with a 120V Amerlite standard incandescent light fixture. After ~ 3 years water started seeping into the fixture, so I replaced the bulb and got a new gasket. The one I got was the white-colored OEM gasket. It has since been leaking even more than before. I've lubricated it, made sure everything was snug and re-inserted it to no avail. Do I need a new light fixture, or did I just get the wrong gasket for this light? (there's also a standard black-colored gasket). H

I personally would try another gasket and would suggest the Extra Heavy Duty Guardian Gasket for the Pentair Amerilite If this does not work then the next step would be to replace the entire fixture with a new Complete Pentair Amerlite Fixture If you did end up going with the new fixture then you would have an extra Gasket which may not be a bad thing as these do need to be replaced periodically.

Does this gasket work with the fixture that takes the NA704 replacement bulb?
Reply
This gasket only works for the Pentair Amerilite and Sam light models but the bulb is used on multiple models. The specific light model would be needed to cross reference the correct gasket needed.

Can't read the type all I see is it's American Product. Will this gasket fit?

Hi, I need a gasket for a 12 volts spa light that is about 20 years old with the inscription "WADE DESIGN" on the glass.
The glass lens diameter is 3 3/4".
The original gasket is grey and has these dimensions:
*outside diameter is in between 3 3/4" and 3 7/8"
* inside diameter is about 3 3/8"
* measured difference between outside and inside diameter is 1/4"
* thickness is about 3/8"
I read somewhere that Gasket Lens Spx0590G Opt 3553-03 gasket might fit, but want to make sure.

It might fit but to be sure I need to know the model of your light fixture. If you can attach a picture of your light fixture so I can identify it, I will be able to find the correct lens gasket.

Will this gasket fit my pool light housing / lens ?

Hi, i have the larger 8" fixture in pool. It appears this will work. What about the smaller 4" ish gasket for the spa? do you have a PN for that? Thx
Reply
So if we base your question off of the Amerlite series pool light model then that would potentially reference the Spabrite/Aqualight spa light series. That gasket would be listed as key number 3 on the parts diagram that you can view here to confirm that this is indeed your spa light. If you cannot verify that then we would advise to look for the model label on the cone of the light or take a few pictures of it and email those to upload@inyopools.com so we can identify it.

I have ordered a Pentair Lens Gasket Amerlite & SAM Light (791016) . What screw do I need to order to fasten the gasket to the lens?
Reply
Good day, there is not a screw that would fasten the gasket to the lens. There is only a screw that would attach the light housing to the niche, which would be 3525-03.

I took my fixture apart because it had leaked a little over the winter. Cleaned it up and reassembling. Gasket looks good. Would a little 100% silicone caulking help around the lens and gasket?
Reply
We would not recommend using any silicone on these lens gaskets as that is not manufacture assembled that way.

Hi,
My pool light shorted out last year. I think water got inside. I'm looking for a replacement bulb and gasket or the pictured fixture. Thank-you.
Unfortunately, I cannot use any information on this label, it all regards UL listings and dates approved. Please provide an image of the front of the fixture showing the lens with a tape measure across the lens and faceplate. We will also require the voltage and watts needed for the bulb. Please test the fixture to verify it did not short out the entire fixture before ordering the bulb and gasket.

Hi, need help to identify proper replacement lens gasket. Label on housing unit totally corroded by algae. Used in an American Products niche that says use with BC-300, BC-400, or BC 500. But the OD and interior diameters of the gasket for those models seem larger than mine (est. 7 3/4 OD and 6 7/8 int diameters). Hopefully, the attached photos will help. Might it be a hatteras or hayward light instead of American Products? It was installed in 1991. thanks much.

lens gasket 79-101-600-0-170 . this gasket has a smooth side and the other side has two ribs. Which side of the gasket face is place on the light cone. Smooth or ribbed

Hi Mark, the smooth side of the lens gasket is to be on the outside exposed and the ribs are to be wrapped around the outside of the lens itself. The lens rim essentially is fitted inside of the gasket.
