where does this go on the filter.

Tom, The Drain Plug with Gasket is usually located in the rear or lower left/right side of the pump housing. For filter's it's located right above the sight glass on the multiport valve.

I went to open my pool today and this 1/4" drain plug is leaking and can't be tightened to stop the leak. Any suggestions if the female thread where this screws into is stripped? Thanks!

If tightening hasn't stopped the leak, the gasket or the thread is probably bad on the drain plug. Replacing it is the only way to figure out if the drain plug is the problem.

I have lost the drain plug and this is my serial # 36110CH can you tell me if this is the correct plug to order? thanks

Joanne, Unfortunately, we do not have access to serial numbers. Please provide the make and model of your filter.

I think my Drain plug is leaking but only when the pump is shut off. 1. Do I need to put teflon tape around the new drain plug? 2. Could the threads be stripped on the inside of the pump housing it self?

Hi Kelli, Teflon tape is not required because it has a gasket. The threads can be stripped if it's still leaking after it's been replaced. You can inspect the threads with your finger.

My drain plug on my pool pump broke and the threads are stripped. What do you suggest I do?
Can I just seal the drain hole for now?

Good Morning Adi, Is it on the basket or the valute? What style/model pump do you have. Can you send any pictures?

As in the question from May 25 replaced drain plug and still will not tighten so female side must be stripped any other solutions besides replacing the housing?

Hi, Gary. Unless you have a way to fix the threads, replacing the housing is the only other option.
