I need parts for my filter valve. When I look at the filter parts breakdown, it gives me different choices. How do I know which one is the one I need?
Reply
In order to locate the correct parts we will need to know the model number of the filter valve. Two identical filters can have two different valves. Typically the valve model will be located on the label of the valve. If there is no model number on the valve, you can try to see if there are any part numbers on the valve itself. Once you've located you valve model you can check out our >Filter Valve Parts.

Have an old filter believe its a nautilus de filter. Only thing I have on the valve is sm10-2de. Valve assembly keeps tearing up spider gaskets and housing is starting to crack around screws. Is this the right replacement valve?
Reply
Hi JP, Yes this would be the correct replacement valve for a Nautilus DE filter currently using a sm10-2de valve.

I am looking for a replacement valve for my 15 year old Triton Purex Model SM-2D.E. The original is rated for 50 PSI and 75 GPM there is also the following number directly above the GPM rating on the label 27-1141. This is used on a Triton Purex FNS Plus DE filter. Is this the correct replacement?

Hi Wally, This would be the correct replacement valve for the SM-2D.E. valve being used on your FNS Plus DE Filter.

I have a Pentair Nautilus FNS36 filter, and the label on current multi-port valve is gone. Does this valve works with my filter?
Thank you

Hello, what we have for a MPV for the FNS36 filter, there is a Valve,sm W/plumbing 1 1/2" P.f. D.e. (sm1-pp2) and Valve, Sm W/plumbing 2" P.f. D.e. (sm2-pp2)

Does this fit a Triton II....two nozzels on the side of the sand filter, back wash, and skimmer and main line. 1 1/2" screw couplings. ( our sand filter is 15 years old at least)

Two questions first is the separation on the valve to filter attach point 7.5 in. Second will it attach to a Heldor filter housing.
Reply
Hi, Ron. The centerline of this valve is 7.5". This valve will fit selected Heldor filter models.

I am installing the Pentair 261177 multiport valve and need to know which port is the suction and which is the discharge.
Reply
Hi, Robert. The Pump port is the Top Left and the Return is the Bottom Right.

Where can I get the O-ring for this valve
Reply
Hi, Jose. The replacement o-rings for this valve is listed on the Pentair - Praher 1 1/2" TM12 & SM10 Valve Parts Diagram page.

Would this model replace a Praher SM20-1 that is currently on a Purex Triton FNS Plus 60?
Reply
Hi Nick, This valve does connect to the Purex Triton FNS Plus 60. I cannot confirm that the ports that the plumbing goes into will be in the exact same location as your SM20-1 so you may have a little re-plumbing. Also, this valve accepts 1.5" plumbing so you might want to double check that the plumbing going into your valve is 1.5". If it is 2" then you might want to opt for the 2" FNS Plus Valve

will this multiport valve fit my nautilus FNS 36 DE filter
Reply
Hi Robin, This does not fit the Nautilus FNS 36 DE filter. You will need the SM1-PP2 Valve for your Nautilus FNS 36 DE filter

I am looking for a replacement valve and wanted to know if this is the correct one. From what I can see on the valve it says sm10-2d.e. The filter that is running is filter is fns 48

Yes, this is the correct replacement for your model multiport valve.

Is this the right replacement for my SM 10 2DE multiport which is currently attached to my Purex Triton Nautilus FNS 36 DE filter?. See photo.
Yes, the 1 1/2" Multiport Valve - De W.g. (261177) would be the correct unit.

My valve is an SME10-2D..E. I was looking for the valve assembly only and not all the piping. I think my spring is gone. Do I have to buy this 261177 with all the piping ? Or is there a valve assembly available.
Secondly this refers to 1.5 inch piping. My pipes are 2 inch and seem to go into couplings that around 2.5 inches. the dimensions in your picture are different . But I assure you the valve assembly is exactly what is in the picture. Should i worry something wont fit?
Hi Ronald, We would suggest this Valve Top Assy - E-50-S1 which will fit the SM10-2DE filter valve. The E-50-S1 is just the upper valve assembly and not all of the piping. The Diverter Gasket - E-12-S1 and the Cover O-ring - E-7-S1 are not included with the E-50-S1, I would recommend that you replace them.

In looking at this image the top seems to be backwards. My filter position is front and backwash position back towards the filter. The image looks like this filter goes the other way??? Is this a Pentair part? Is 4600-1102 from you. I assume that is equivalent to a E-12-S1 What is the cover o ring for.
Reply
Hi Ronald, The 4600-1102 is not made by Pentair it made by Praher. If the 26-1177 Valve Looks identical to your valve then I would suggest ordering the 26-1177 valve and that will ensure there is no compatibility issues. The cover o-ring is # 6 on this SM10 Valve Parts Diagram this valve cover o-ring would just be replaced for preventative maintenance. If you do purchase the complete valve than this o-ring is included.

OK. So I buy the whole assembly with piping, (part 26-1177) and I they unscrew the valve itself and also remove the o ring o ring and use it to replace mine. I already bought the 4600-1102 from you last week. That sounds like the plan. Correct?

Hi I'm trying to update to a multiport valve from my old push pull type valve. Believe my filter is an old model Pac-Fab FNS 36. I just wanted to make sure this is the correct part to fit my filter
Hi Sam, Thanks for the photos! If you have 1.5" plumbing going into the valve then use this 1.5" Nautilus Multiport Valve and if you have 2" plumbing going into the valve then use this 2" Nautilus Multiport Valve

My valve is a Pentair 261177 1,5" D..E. I was looking for the top valve assembly only and not all the piping. Do I have to buy this 261177 with all the piping ? Or is there a valve assembly available.
What is the difference between a Nautilus NSF-36 & a NS-36 ?
