I have a JWPA5E7L-2A2, do you carry a replacement for this model pump?
Reply
The JWPA5E7L-2A2 has been discontinued by Sta-Rite, we show that this pump was a 1 HP above ground pool pump with a horizontal discharge. With this being said we would suggest the Waterway 1 HP pump listed on this page which has a discharge port which can be set to vertical or horizontal, this will allow for minimal plumbing changes on your end.

will this be adequate for a 28 ft pool? thanks

As far as the water turnover rate needed to circulate this pool, yes but you need to make sure that the gallons per minute rating on the pump is compatible with the gpm rating for the filter.

Is the picture shown a vertical discharge pump? Is it possible to order it with a horizontal discharge pump?

Hi Rick, This pump is not available with a horizontal discharge, however you can rotate the wet end so that it is horizontal.

When my kreepy krauler got above water, sucked air, I turned the pump off and I'm an 83 yr old widow and don't know how to fill with water before turning pump back on.

Hi, You can view our How To: Prime a Pool Pump video for instructions or you can hire a pool company to resolve your issue.

Just opened the pool forthe summer but what could cause the pump to put out very low pressure (2psi). Normally puts out 10 to 15 psi

The pipes make need to be blown, there maybe some build up. I recommend Purge made by Natural Chemistry. It is probably that or you need to change the seals in your pump.

Hello there, I have a waterway hi flo pump that I need a new motor and basket for. The motor is a bn25. The wet end pump is a sd-15-1n11cc. Can I use this whole setup? The wet end pump discharges on the side not on the top. Let me know.
Thx,
Matt

Hi, Matthew. Based on the pump model (SD-15-1N11CC) you will need the Hi-Flo 1.5 Hp Above Ground Pump, 3' Cord - PD11506. The discharge on this pump can be rotated to support a side discharge.

I am looking for a replacement pump 18x33 above ground pool motor is 1hp 115 volt would like a 1.5 hp and it needs to have an on /off switch , as our electric is inside garage , not an outlet with in 6 ft of pool

A 1.5HP pump is nice if your filter is able to handle the increased flow rate. You will need to calculate the flow rate to see if it will be over your filter's flow rating.

does the waterway 1 hp hi flo come with horizontal hook up to filter

Sal, The pump comes as pictured (vertical). If you need a horizontal discharge, you can rotate the housing.

What goes into the hole behind filter housing on pump I’m confused as not working with my current set up
Thanks
Hi Chris, that hole is the discharge port where the plumbing would be connected there and then will need to be connected to the pool filter.

What is the max flow rate of this 1 hp water way pump
Reply
Good afternoon Keith, the max flow rate varies from pool to pool and pump depending on the specs of your system. You can use the flow chart on the product page with your TDH (total dynamic feet of head) to try and calculate what the flow rate would be in your pool. I have a link to help you with sizing. How to size a pool pump.
