I need parts for my filter valve. When I look at the filter parts breakdown, it gives me different choices. How do I know which one is the one I need?

In order to locate the correct parts we will need to know the model number of the filter valve. Two identical filters can have two different valves. Typically the valve model will be located on the label of the valve. If there is no model number on the valve, you can try to see if there are any part numbers on the valve itself. Once you've located you valve model you can check out our >Filter Valve Parts.

Do you have a picture/diagram available of the different positions on the valve (filter, backwash, waste, rinse, etc)

I have a top mount multiport filter valve that is a sta-rite model 14962-0105. At least I'm pretty sure it is I have an owners manual and that is the part number on the top mount one. Will this one work for model T-240BP-2 work as a replacement or would it be better to try and just order the parts I need?
Thanks,

Hi, Sheryl. The Sta-Rite Valve 14962-0105 is a bolt-on style valve which is not compatible with the T-240BP-2 filter which is a clamp style filter. Click link > Top Mount Valve Bolt-On - 14962-0105 to view replacement.

I have a T-240BP-1 sand filter. If I convert to 2” lines can I replace the WC112-148 multiport valve(no longer available) with the 14971-TM-22-L multiport valve? Thank you.

Yes, the 14971-TM-22-L can replace the WC112-148 on the T-240-BP-1 sand filter. so you may convert over to 2-inch plumbing.

I need to replace the multiport valve for a Sta-Rite Cristal Flo Pool Filter, Model # T-170 BP. Will this one work with that older model filter?

Hi Scott, No this is not the correct replacement valve. For your T-170BP you will need this T12L Replacement Valve instead.
