I have a Raypak 2100 Digital pool heater and when I try to turn it on, it reads PLT on the display. I believe this is a electronic function and I do not know how to restart the heater.
 Reply

A  Answered on 5/30/2016 by InyoPools Product Specialist Alex V.

The "PLT" error code means pilot failure. The lack of spark may or may not mean an ignitor problem. I have seen the "PLT" code come up because the main valve in the heater was in the "off" position. No gas = no pilot. Have also seen clogged pilot-burner orifices. The lack of spark may have to do with water flow issues (dirty filter, clogged basket, etc.), or it may be a problem with the electronics of the heater. All of these (except turning the gas valve on) will require a competent service tech to diagnose.

I currently have a RP2100 pool/spa heater. I have NEVER tried to heat the pool, only the spa. Can I use a smaller propane/electric start heater to heat ONLY the spa?

Hi, Jax. Yes, you can use a smaller unit if you want to heat just your spa depending on the surface area of the spa. You can use our BTU Sizing Chart for more info.

Ordered your pr206aep from you yesterday, but I noticed this morning on your pipping chart, that 3/4" pipe is good out to 60'. The location of our tank will be 75'. Will this be a problem?
 Reply

A  Answered on 5/16/2017 by InyoPools Product Specialist Patrick P.

Hi Nick, Yes this would be an issue you would need to be below 60' using 3/4" gas line. Please note this measurement is from the Distance from  Tank   Regulator Outlet at your propane tank to the Heater Gas Valve Inlet. I would call our customer service department at 407-834-2200 to discuss options about your order.

Looking to replace my Laars LIte 250K BTU MV with a Rapac NG electric. Two questions: is the electric 110 or 220V and can the plumbing be ordered or switched to be on left side of unit when facing controls? Thanks Mike

Hi, Mike. The electric unit can be wired for either 115 or 230 volts, your preference and the unit is unable to be ordered with the water connection on the left. The heat exchanger can be switched in the field by a technician.

Heater will not ignite. Message is "ILO" What does this mean.
 Reply

A  Answered on 12/30/2021 by InyoPools Product Specialist Joe S.

ILO Ignition lockout - Propane units only. 1. The heater has performed too many attempts to ignite the main burner and will take a short break.2. Inspect pilot assembly.3. If pilot assembly is OK, then the culprit may be your PC board.
