What is the difference between the 343000 & 343001?
Reply
Hello Mike - Pentair discontinued the 343000 and replaced it with the 343001. The 343001 is now dual voltage (115/208-230) and it has a 24 hour memory retention.

Hi,
What is the warranty for this pump? Do you stand behind the product in case it has an issue when it arrives?
Thanks!

The Pentair SuperMax VS Variable Speed Pump has a 2 year warranty when installed by a qualifying licensed installer. Once the item is installed any warranty work will be handled by the manufacturer.

Hi. What is the difference between the SuperMax and SuperFlo VS models? Performance? Also, I'm wired for 115VAC, but would consider 230VAC. Will upgrading achieve better performance? I have a 13500 gal pool with solar panels. Since the GPM is low and my feet head are medium, I think a 1½hp is sufficient. Your thoughts are welcomed. Thanks!

Hi Dennis, There is not a difference performance wise between the SuperMax and SuperFlo pumps. Operating the pump using 230 volt will cost less to operate and perform better only at max rpm's. Without know the exact feet of head and other variables I can't say with a 100% certainly if this pump will be sufficient but it's possible.

is the replacement pump recommended tha I can use for a current pump AO SMITH , SQ1102

The SQ1102 would be an acceptable replacement motor if you are wanting to change from variable speed to single speed.

Can you just change to the single speed with that motor? I had my control board fry also

I currently have a 1 hp Sta-Rite Max-Glas II pool pump and I want to replace it with a variable speed pump. I would prefer staying with a Sta-Rite product but I am open to other suggestions. I also need a pump that has clear and simple installation instructions. Thanks.

That would be a great replacement to the Dura-Glas 2. The only difference is going to be your Dura- Glas 2 has inside threads on the ports and the Super Max has outside threads on the ports so there will be some replumbing.

Can I replace a Sta-Rite Max-E-Pro (P6E6F-207L) with Sta-Rite (Pentair) SuperMax VS Variable Speed Pump (343001)?

Hi, Scott. The SuperMax VS Pump is not a good replacement for the Max-E-Pro Pump because of the performance.

Hi I have this pump but the control panel broke by an internal short circuit, I am looking for the replacement part number 353128 that it is the drive, do you have it?

I am replacing a Pentair 2 hp single speed pump. I would like to replace with a variable speed. I am looking at this model, as it seems to be a drop in fit for my current pump (also Pentair). My pool is 35000 gallons, 20x40. The next size up seems too much and would probably negate any energy savings. Will this pump be sufficient for my pool?
Reply
Hi, Georgia. We will need to know more info about your pool like the Total Dynamic Head (TDH) and or the model of your existing pump.

Would this be a good replacement for a Pentair WFE-6 Whisperflo? Would the energy savings be great enough to replace?
Reply
Hi, E. Unfortunately, this pump is not a good replacement for a WhisperFlo WFE-6 pump. The WhisperFlo WFE-6 pump is a much higher performing pump. The IntelliFlo Variable Speed Pump - 011018 or the Hayward TriStar VS Pump - SP3202VSP are your best options.

I currently have a Sta Rite Max E Pro pool pump. Would it be a good replacement pump ?

Hi, Lincoln. This is NOT a suitable replacement for a Max-E-Pro pump due to the difference in performance.

What would be a good VS replacement for a single speed Sta Rite Max e pro (1 HP)? Pool is approx 30,00 gallons, no water features

If you prefer to stay with Pentair, the IntelliFlo i1 Variable Speed Pump 230 Volt - 011059 (Union kit sold separately 357603) this is the pump I suggest replacing the current. It will operate up to 3.0HP, you may not that much of a pump, however, you will have 8-programmable speeds to set the flow rates to your needs, this makes this pump very energy efficient. The Waterway Power Defender 165 Variable Speed Pool Pump 1.65 HP 208-230Volt - PD-VSC165 has 3-programmable speed options using the V-Green 165 motor on it the total HP of this motor is 1.65. The pumps are heavier duty pumps like your MaxEPro.

I currently have the Pentair Sta-Rite P6EA6F-206L Max-E-Pro single speed pump, can i replace it with the Supermax VS? Thanks

Hi, Fij. It is not a suitable replacement due to the performance. In order to confirm that this SuperMax VS Pump will be sufficient for your pool, you will need to provide us with the Total Dynamic Head (TDH) of your pool.

Hi Donald, This would be a good replacement pump however the plumbing ports are not in the exact same spot so you will have a little bit of re-plumbing.

I am looking at replacing my Hayward 2.0 HP Super pump model SP2615X20 with a variable speed pump. Would this pump work? Our pool holds 28,000 gallons of water and also has an in floor cleaning system. Which is why we need the 2 hp. Thanks!
Reply
Hi Sherry, The Max HP on this pump is 1.5 HP so it may be underpowered for your in-floor cleaning system. I would suggest this Waterway 2.7 HP VSP instead.

Will the SuperMax VS Variable Speed Pump 115/230V-343011 be a suitable replacement for a Hayward Super Pump SP2607X10 thanks.
Reply
Hi Susan, the total strength of this pump will match and exceed the Hayward Super pump model SP2607X10 however the suction port is located a few inches lower than the Super pump and the discharge port is very close to the same location. Some plumbing will be required.

I am looking at replacing a 1.5 HP Single Speed Hayward Super Pump, would this pump be a good replacement?
Yes, this would be a good replacement variable speed pump for your model Super Pump as it both meets ad exceeds your current pump specifications. Just keep in mind that the plumbing arrangements may be a bit different from your current application.

Hi Michael, this Sta-Rite Supermax variable sped pool pump would be a great option for your application. You may need to adjust the plumbing a bit at the suction and discharge ports however is pretty close.

Hello Peter. The Pentair SuperFlo VS pump model 342001 would be an excellent replacement for the SuperMax VS model 343001. They have identical Total Horse Power Specifications. Plumbing adjustments may be required.
