This model is "without chord".....so what is the chord for? How do I know if I need one or not?

Hello David - Since this heater does not come with a cord it will need to be hard wired. Some models have a cord with a 3-prong plug. These models can be plugged into a standard 110v outlet.

The house gas line is 1.25" and the heater has a 3/4" hook up. My question: Will this cause low gas pressure at the heater? Distance from main gas line to heater is less than 10'

Hi Tommy, According to the MasterTemp High-Performance Heater Owners Manual 1/2" pipe is require so it can cause gas pressure issues.

Thank you

Does this unit need a pump? I had a propane chofu heater that was plumbed directly into my tub. Is that how this works, or do you need a pump?

Good afternoon, this unit will require a pump and filter system to allow the water to be pushed through the heater.

Hello Butch. The Pentair Pool Products MasterTemp 125K BTU NG Heater model EC-462024 is a compatible replacement for the MiniMax 400K BTU NG Heater. Currently, the Pentair EC-462024 is in stock. Please note; the reduction in BTU capacity will result in increased heating times.
