I just purchased a GLXPCBMAIN for my Hayward Aqualogic system but noticed that it doesn't give me the option for the salt generator. Did I buy the wrong board?

The GLXPCBMAIN is the correct board for the Hayward Aqualogic (salt). The salt chlorine generator option is disabled by default. You will need to go into the configuration menu to enable it.

Bryan, The GLXPCBMAIN is the main circuit board for the Goldline/Hayward AquaLogic. If you have a different system, this board will not work. We will need the model number of the system in order to confirm.

my display is reading chlorinator off/high amps. could the board be the problem. I try to super chlorinate and it will try to switch on but goes off after about 10 secs.
Reply
Usually this reading means that the salt level is too high in the pool. If the cell is reading the level incorrectly then that could be either the board needs to be recalibrated, the cell is going bad or the flow sensor/switch is. Also cleaning the cell and switch may help.

Sandy, Before replacing the board, I would recommend having the cell tested. If the cell checks out, replacing the board should get you back up and running. My display module goes on and off and when it goes off you can hear a click. Is this a main board or display board issue? if main is the correct board GLX-PCB-MAIN, I have a T 15 unit. Also does this mean that no chlorine is being produced?
Reply
Good day, yes if the display is kicking on and off with a click that would be a bad PCB Circuit Board AquaLogic GLXPCBMAIN Goldline Control. If it is or is not producing it would be a different issue. We would need the diagnostics of the system to see if it is or is not producing.

My Pool tech just replaced my Spa heater. He was trying to program it to run off the control panel but was told the software version was to low. I am told I need to replace the board to bring the software version up. Is this correct?? The panel works fine and I just replaced the display\control unit. See pic below. Is this the right part to replace what I have?
Hi, Richard. You will need the GLX-PCB-PRO if you want any upgrades.

I've only been in this house about a year and two days ago started getting a Communication Err 2 message. I currently have the Goldline Controls G1-066008N-1 PCB. My pool tech tested it out the antenna and said it wasn't the issue. Wil this board (PCB Circuit Board AquaLogic - GLXPCBMAIN) solve my problem and be compatible with my pool heater and remote?
Hi Toby, Yes from what you have described, this sounds like a bad PCB board and this is the proper PCB Board you will require for the system in your photos.
Reply
Thanks for your advice...I ordered this PCB. But wouldn't you know it, after multiple days of exhibiting this Communication Err 2 problem, it now stopped and my pool has been working perfectly for 4 days. Any thoughts on what could be happening and why its now working? I assume one of these days it will stop and never work again, but perhaps you have an alternative point of view. Curious of your thoughts...

The Error code 2 can be present from an abrupt power outage that has fried the PCB. You can check the breakers and reset if that does resolve. It may indicate a wiring problem in the temp sensor terminal block, a faulty connection to a wired remote, a faulty connection between the local display and the main circuit board, or the main PCB needs replaced.

Hi, I think I need to replace this board in my controller, but not sure.....my clock no longer works, the salt generator reads salt way lower than it really is, and one of my valve actuators has now stopped working......and.....all the LEDs on the control panel are all illuminated all the time...does that sound like a bad PCB?

I have a Goldline G1-066008K-1. It is constantly reading low salt when the salt level is fine. The salt cell was replaced first, and is brand new. Would this be the correct replacement PCB?
Hello Mike. The Hayward Goldline GLXPCBMAIN is the correct replacement Main PCB for your G!-066008K-1. After replacing the chlorine generating cell was the Average Salt Reading Reset and was the cell type installed verified against the system configuration? If incorrectly set, salt readings and chlorinator operations will be unreliable.

I’ve had to replace this board a few times now. Is there something I’m doing that’s causing this board to burn up?
Reply
Hi Joshua, here are a few tips to hopefully help your board last longer: Watch your salt level. Salt levels being too high can burn out some of the solder joints from high amperage. Don't add salt directly to the skimmer boxes when the salt system is on. It will cause an extremely high salinity level and amperage spike as the salt dissolves and goes through the cell. The motherboard has a 20 amp fuse on it, but the Amp limit on the relay is 20 amps. You may want to replace the 20 amp fuse with a 15 Amp fuse to help protect the relay and the solder points. Lastly, install a surge protector to protect the system.
