Does this item come with a warranty? Is there easy access for cleaning?

Flo Control model 1700C15 has a one year warranty. This valve can be cleaned easily by removing the valve body from the unions.

I'm losing my prime on pump. How far from the suction side inlet should I place a check valve? Most of the line is under concrete, I only have about a foot of line to access. Will that work?

Hello Bill - The check valve can be installed within a few inches of the intake of the pump. A foot of pipe will be sufficient for the check valve install.

How is the rubber o ring inside the check valve suppose to work; in that should the o ring slide back up into the body of the check valve once the pool pump shuts off?
Reply
Hi, Jimmy. The black rubber inside of the valve seals the spring shaft so that water does not seep through that part of the valve.

What is the ips of treaded part of 1 1/2 inch valve.(where union part screws onto? Thanks!

The threads are Female buttress thread on the 1 1/2 union. IPS Iron Pipe thread standard and is not the same thing, IPS is the same as NPT. For union only use 89-350-1100 for just the union. You would use just half of the union and throw the other half away.

What is the difference between the Flo control check valve Clear 1 1/2 in model 1700 C 15 and the Flo control model # 1720 C 15?
The appear to be exactly alike.

This 1700C15 is a spring check valve where the 1720C15 is a swing check valve. Basically the insides are different one use a spring and the other uses a flapper.

Which Check Valve Model, the 1700 C15 or the 1720 C15 Would work best between a pool heater and a Salt Chlorinator system as far as corrosion resistance? Thank you. Mark S. Pitts.

They both will work fine as they are made out of the same material, the 1700C15 is our most popular check valve.

Can you tell me the gallons per minute that the check valve allows? We have a Hayward cl200 in line chlorinator that needs 50 gallons per minute to work properly. We had problems maintaining proper chlorine levels even though the pool was balanced properly and the chlorinator had no problems.

This check valve will allow approx. 65 gpm, exceeding the 50 gpm that you are needing.

I have the 1700 c15 check valve installed between the output of the pump and the input for the filter. It is showing a lot of bubbles. Is this the wrong place to install it? Should I install it in the suction line before the pump? have a 1hp(new from you) motor and pump. Would i be better off with a Jandy type round check valve?

The air is coming from somewhere, could be a suction leak. Or is there a ozone injector bring O2 into the plumbing. Does your pump lose prime after not running for a period on time. After not running for a period of time is there is the a large number of bubbles being put though the plumbing. If so look for suction side leaks or air being sucked into the skimmer.
