Is the salt included with the salt chlorine generator?
Reply
No, salt is not included. You would purchase the salt locally and the quantity will depend upon the number of gallons of water in your pool. Use a salt that is at least 99.8% pure NaCl. The preferred salt is evaporated, granulated, food quality, and NON-iodized. Avoid using salt with anti-caking agents like sodium ferrocyanide, also known as yellow YPS (prussiate of soda). These cause some discoloration of fittings and pool surface finishes. DO NOT use calcium chloride.

I am replacing a clormatic III cmc 700 (Jandy) Chlorinater that is 12' in total length. I don't have any additional room - what is the length of the purlink 7-blade cell kit?
Reply
Jim - The total length of the PLC700 with unions is 16-5/8". According to the PLC700 Owner's manual the the pipe cutout required is 13-7/8".

Can a novice change out the old cell and put in the new one?

Hello Garvin, the cell is easy to install. Here is a link to the Jandy Aquapure Salt Water Chlorinator manual. On pages 13-14 they cover the installation of the cell.

I have a 16,000 gallon pool and my aquapure seems to have gone bad, model R0452400. Does the PLC700 work as a replacement or the PLC1400? I have cleaned it and still error it out and producing zero chlorine. I am concerned as well as my swg has three connectors and these replacements on,y have two, is that an issue?
Is the generic pureline jandy replacement is as good as the name branded jandy

I have a indicator module attached to the cell sensor. I've seen a lot of replacement kits without the indicator module. Can I just tied the old module to the new sensor?

Hi, Gail. Unfortunately, you cannot.

My pool is a 12,000 Gal regular chlorinated pool, that simply is controlled by dial timer for a Pentair InterFlow pump, and I want to convert it into a saltwater pool.
Will this Jandy salt chlorinator hook up and work with my pump, or is equipped with a flow sensor that regulates the production of chlorine based on the detected flow?

This is only a replacement cell and not a complete salt system. We do not carry the Jandy complete salt system but please consider the Pureline Crystal Pure models or maybe even the Pentair Intellichlor models.
