Product Description

Crystal Pure Salt System by PureLine

The PureLine Crystal Pure Salt System makes the process of chlorinating the pool a breeze for you. When your pump runs, you will be producing chlorine, ensuring a steady dose into your pool water. The more consistent your chlorine levels are in your pool, the fewer chemicals you will use overall. Free yourself and your pool guests from the itchy, dry feeling of regular chlorine. With a salt water chlorine generator, the water feels smooth and won't leave a white residue on your skin. The Crystal Pure generator cell easily plumbs in-line and has quick disconnect unions for easy access.

Crystal Pure Heavy Duty Vs. Crystal Pure Standard

This year we have added a few new models of Crystal Pure Salt Systems to our lineup and these are labeled as Heavy Duty. The Heavy duty is the same system as the standard but with two main advantages...

  1. The warranty is 3 year on the Heavy Duty Vs. 1 year on the Standard
  2. The cell life on the Heavy Duty is 10,000 hrs. Vs. 7,000 hrs. on the Standard

The extra lifespan on the heavy duty salt cell is due to more Ruthenium coating on the cell plates. Cell life works as follows, say you run your pump 8 hours per day and you set your Crystal Pure to 50% chlorine output then the cell will be running for 4 hrs. per day, thus using up 4 hrs. of cell life per day in this example.

Features:

    • Durable design
    • Max. Chlorine Production Per Day = 3.18 Lbs.
    • Economical to use
    • Simple operation & maintenance
    • Large chlorine capacity
    • Low energy consumption
    • 3 Year warranty
    • Digital display and LED indicators
    • Self-cleaning
    • Adjustable chlorine output
    • Super chlorination mode
    • Water flow detector
    • Low salt and overload indicators
    • High & low-temperature protection (working temperature from 50°F to 140°F)

Optional Add-On Accessories

Salt Cell Cleaning Stand

This cleaning stand simplifies cell cleaning and eliminates having to soak the cell in a bucket of muriatic acid solution. This Cleaning stand is used for PureLine Crystal Pure salt cells. You should clean your salt cell every 2 months to avoid calcium buildup on your salt cell. By cleaning your salt cell regularly you will prolong the life of the cell. Also if you get too much calcium build up on the salt cell then the system will stop producing chlorine, regular cleanings ensure that your salt system will not stop producing chlorine.

Salt Test Strips

Salt Test Strips are used to accurately measure the salt level in your pool. The Crystal Pure Salt System does measure and give salt readout levels on the power supply however it is nice to have salt test strips upon startup of your Salt System. During startup up you will use your test strips to make sure that you add the correct amount of salt to your pool, it is also good to be able to compare the salt readings on the power supply to those of the salt test strips to make sure the system is giving accurate salt readings.

Straight Pipe Place Holder - Dummy Cell

This straight pipe holder also called a dummy cell is used for several scenarios which we have listed below.

Winter: It is suggested that in areas of the country that you close your pool for the winter that you replace your normal cell with this dummy cell, the reason being is that the standard cell is expensive and by removing the standard cell you will prolong the cell's life.

Cell Cleaning: When you remove your normal cell for cleaning it is nice to have the dummy cell as you can replace the normal cell with the dummy cell so you continue to filter your pool while you clean your cell.

Spring Start-Up: The dummy cell is great to use during spring start up as quite often the pool can be quite dirty and you don't want large dirt and debris to get lodged in your standard salt cell.

I have a 38000 gallon pool. Are there any advantage or disadvantages to using the 60K unit over the 40K unit other than the price? Would the cell last significantly longer?

Hi. The major benefit is that the 60K unit cell will last longer than the 40K cell.

What is the difference between these regular and the heavy duty salt systems? Besides the $100.

What kind of electrical hookup does the unit need?
 Reply

A  Answered on 5/17/2018 by InyoPools Product Specialist Steve M.

Hi Henry, This system can be wired 115V or 230V. If you wire it 230V it is typically hardwired. If you wire it 115V then you can hardwire the salt system or purchase this Cord with 3 Prong Plug so you can plug the salt system directly into a 115V outlet. With the cord I suggested you will need to remove the spade connectors and strip the wire about 1 inch, but it is very easy.

Can the cell be mounted vertically instead of horizontally? Do you have 110 volt cords for this model?
 Reply

Hi, Ron. The cell can be plumbed vertically, however, not the flow switch. You can use the Pump Power Cord - SPX1250WA
