The PureLine Pure Pro XL pool pump is one of our favorite pumps. This work-horse is designed to be energy efficient, quiet, dependable and all of this at a great price.
Pure Pro XL Salt Friendly
As salt pools become more popular we have built a pump specifically designed for the demanding water conditions of saltwater pools. The most common area of failure on pool pumps is caused by leaking from the shaft seal, o-rings and gaskets. Saltwater and Chlorine can be particularly harsh on these components.
Upgraded Corrosion-Resistant Material
The Pure Pro XL Salt Friendly uses an Upgraded Corrosion-Resistant Material called Viton™ for the shaft seal, o-rings and gaskets. This ensures that your pool pump will be running great for years to come so you can enjoy your crystal clear pool.
Great for Non-Saltwater Pools too!
The Pure Pro XL Salt Friendly is also great for Non-Saltwater pools. This pump is an excellent Heavy Duty Upgrade for Non-Saltwater pools and is our recommendation for all pools.

I have a 15 ft. above ground pool. 4' deep. I currently have a 1 hp pump and a 18" or 20" sand filter. My pump is making lots of noise and I am looking at a replacement. We went to salt last year and I was wondering since I have to replace my pump would it be beneficial to order a salt friendly pump like the one listed? Also is 3/4 hp enough for the pool that I have or do I need the full 1 hp? I didn't see a 1 hp salt friendly pump.

Hi Patrick, I would definitely suggest the salt friendly pump for your salt pool and the 3/4 HP would be more than adequate for a 15' round 48-inch pool.

I have an 18' x 52" above ground pool. Right now I have an 1 hp pump. Would your 1.5 hp pump be okay to use or should I down grade to the 3/4 hp?

Hello, you will want to go with the pL1501 based off of your pool size.

So with the California law I can not order the 1 hp pump which you do not have for a saltwater pool so I ordered your 3/4 hp pump for saltwater pools. Will this work with my 18' round pool and 52" deep?

I have a 23x 52 salt water pool and need a new pump. I have a 1hp now but have used a 3/4 HP in the past. Got a good deal on the 1hp, but it pushed sand in the pool from the filter. So, would this work for me? I have only used Hayward pumps in the past.

Hi Rob, Yes from a power standpoint this will work for you. You may have a little re-plumbing as the plumbing ports are not in the exact same location on the PureLine and the Hayward.

I have an above ground pool and I want to switch over to salt. My question is, is this pump all I need for the switch over or will I need something else to make it complete?

Hi, Dave. You will need to purchase a salt system and either use your existing pump or replace it with a Salt Friendly pump like this one if it's suitable for your pool.
