I am looking to replace all the top rails on my seaspray allure. It is 18' x 33' x 52". I would like resin if available. Can you supply them? The pool was installed in 2010.

Hi Jeffrey, Unfortunately, We do not have resin top rails that will fit the Allure 18' x 33' x 52" pool. Click link > Allure 18'x33' Oval (Steel Top Rail, Steel Upright) Parts for available parts.

Rusting top rails

Written on 6/22/2020 by Guest

My top rails were rusty and dropping metal flakes in the pool. I was afraid they would put a hole in my liner if stepped on. I stumbled upon this site for new ones. It was asked for me to take pictures so they could be matched up since I did not know the brand of my pool.

They were matched perfectly. It was a matter of taking the plastic caps off and putting the new rails back on. Only tool needed was a screw gun. I have a 27 ft round pool and it took about 1 1/2 hour to change them out. I sprayed 2 coats of clear flex seal on the underside to help prolong the life of the new rails.

Pool rails pitted and backside was rusting away.

We ordered replacement parts from INYO Pools. When they arrived we were able to remove the seam caps and very simply place the new rails. We used a screwdriver only and the most difficult part of the job was matching the top and bottom pieces of the seam caps. We built a deck around the pool so for a few spots someone had to get under the deck and work upward. If you have not yet built a deck around your pool, consider that you may have to replace these parts down the road and allow ample space and a straight line for a screwdriver to fit.

Top rails corroded with pieces of metal dropping into the pool, sometimes leaving shop edges

Written on 8/8/2018 by Guest

Several years ago, I acquired a used Seaspray Allure above-ground pool. As soon as I realized both the financial and time costs of chlorine tablets, I converted to salt water chlorination. It's been nearly trouble-free! Except the metal parts at the top of the pool corrode away every 2-3 years. That's when InYoPools helps out. The dealer who sold the pool took forever to get the first set of replacements. Since then, I've ordered from InYoPools and received the rails and accessories a couple days later. And at a lower price.

To replace the top rail, begin by removing the top of the clam shells on each side of the rail. This is one hex-head screw on the underside of the top piece - no need to remove the bottom supporting part of the clam shell. Two screws on each side of the rail go into the top plate. If that plate is also corroded, replace it, too, just a couple more screws to do that job. Carefully remove the old rail, especially if there is jagged metal and put it aside. Then place the new rail and screw down. Delay replacing the top clam shell pieces until all rails are replaced, especially if you want to clean them. It may be necessary to replace some of the stainless steel screws.

At one time, a couple friends and I replaced the inner stabilizer steel, coping strips, and top plates. If you are replacing the top rails and find corrosion on these parts, replace them, also. We completely drained the pool. Then in about an hour, we had the old stabilizer ring off, the new ring assembled and on the new coping strips. The secret is being sure the ring pieces are fully inserted and it may take a little work before the ring will seat. Note: Next time this is required, I leave about 1/3 the water in the pool.

Also, add a sacrificial zinc anode to your system to cut down on the corrosion.

The O.E.M. parts rusted after several years because we have a salt water system.

I removed the old top rails and installed the new rails purchased from INYOPOOLS.com. They were perfect match for both size and color, and were the cheapest I could find anywhere. Simply remove the plastic post caps, unscrew (4) screws with a drill driver or screwdriver, remove the old rail, and install the new one using the same (4) screws. Replace the post cap and you're done in approximately 10 minutes.

Top rail was rusty

Removed top caps between the rails, then removed the two screws holding each end of the rail to the post underneath, removed the rusty rail, placed new rail in position, replaced two screws on each end. Replaced the top cap and was done!

Had to replace all top rails (17) on my pool.

Written on 3/22/2017 by Guest

I received the 17 Top Rails - 52 7/8" (ALLURE) 24'/27' (Single) rails, free shipping ,yeah, and inspected them to make sure no dents or scratches were found. Everything was good so I proceeded to replace each rail with 17 new Allure Top Plate 5.5" W/U-Shape GF (Single). The process was fairly easy but time consuming, I had no help so I did each one very slowly to make sure each section was nice and tight. I used a 1/4" socket wrench and a Philips screw driver for the entire job. The finished job looked great and was a lot more sturdy and the end. The rails I replaced were installed June of 2008(9 Years old) so they were a bit worn and rusted. All the top plate were completely rusted. It was a good Idea to change both. Now the test of time will tell how long these will last.
