Hi, The FLOAT FOR MBU APOGON BC - 300CC and the FLOAT FOR MBU APOGON BC - 500CC will be the syrofoam like material for the Maytronics Dolphin Nautilus.

We removed the styrofoam floats, not realizing that they were actually part of the cleaner. It does still climb our walls. Is it going to effect the performance if we do not replace them? Also, if we do replace them, do we need to take the cleaner to a certified technician or can we replace them ourselves, without disqualifying the warranty? I would suggest that you address the styrofoam somewhere in the Quick Guide, as styrofoam is most commonly used as packing material. Very Confusing.

As long as your cleaner is climbing the walls and performing fine, I do not foresee you having issues. If you do decide to replace the floats, they can be done by you and or a repair shop. They are not going to affect your warranty.

Are these easy to install? I have opened the cleaner and cannot figure out how and where to attach them.

Hi. These floats are quite easy to install. You'll have to remove the cover and slide the floats in place.
