Part # 11201-0154
Pump Union, 2"NPT x 2"SLIP - 11201-0154
Used on the following Pumps:
**Note: SOLD INDIVIDUALLY.**
I have a WFE-6 pump. Can this union be used instead of the CPVC gray plastic pipe that is usually used for the first few inches on the suction and pressure sides of the pump.

Greg, Yes, you can use this to plumb in the pump.

What's the difference between the CMP @" MPT, 2" part # 21063-200-00 and these fittings? the CMP are $14.32 and these are $38.

These are the same unions just made by two different manufacturers. We would suggest the CMP 21063-200 Union as it is every bit as good as the 11201-0154 Union.

(4 out of 5 stars) Pump unions, a good idea!

When on gets a WhisperFlo pump, they will need fittings to mount the pump into the plumbing of the pool. Some folks would go the economy route and use an adapter, however that means if you ever wanted (or needed) to take the pump out of the system, you would have to cut the PVC and use couplers to glue it back in. Given how hard it is to take apart glued PVC fittings (it can be done, however it is a mess to do)... Using unions just seems like one of those 'no brainer' things! These unions are well made, come with an O ring for sealing to the pump, and are easy to mount and use. I suggest to take the union apart and tighten the part that goes onto the pump hand tight (without a tool), then move it about 1/4 turn more. Then build up the plumbing and tighten the collar of the union hand tight (no tool). If you have a leak, loosen the collar and tighten the pump side a little more, followed by tightening the collar a little more. Note the key work here is little... as one does not want too much torque on the PVC! Why??? Because as one has hot/cold cycles of weather, the PVC looses strength... and can crack. Added stress of over-tightening, could cause failure. And replacing the collar would require cutting PVC and using a coupler. All in all, this is a good union, install it carefully and it will give you good service.
