Hi, I have an older American Titan SS filter Model # 584090. It is 48 sqft. area and 96 GPM. It is 22 inches in length and height and 52 inches wide. I would like to replace the interior grid assembly. Would the one I see mentioned for the filter above (59023400) fit my needs or would I have to buy a new filter (Pentair). Is there a replacement grid? Thanks

Hi Len, The DE Grid Assembly on this page is not the correct item for the American Titan SS filter. You would need the DE Grid Assembly for the American Titan SS filter 48 Sq. Ft. here.

1) Relieve pressure out of filter,
2) drain filter by opening up backwash valve,
3) loosen metal band around filter and taking completely off,
4) pull off top portion of filter housing,
5) pull out entire grid assembly taking note as to where the drain tube is located,
6) rinse out and take off old filter gasket while cleaning inside of all debris, etc. 7) place new grid assembly into lower filter housing,
8) place new o-ring over lower filter assembly and grease with magic lube,
9) place top half of filter housing over grid and mating with lower half,
10) place metal band around center housing and re-tighten metal band while gently taping around sides with rubber mallet for even distribution while tightening,
11) turn on pool pump and turning top filter valve clockwise once water distributes out top,
12) look for leaks and normal pressure.

It was significantly cheaper then the local pool supply store. Works perfectly and I love the purchase! I plan on using your online store from now on for pool supplies.
