What is the Pentair Intellichlor Dummy Cell used for?

The Dummy cell is basically a cell with no internal parts, this cell is used during cleaning of the real cell. So when you remove the real cell for cleaning you would put the dummy cell in place of the real cell. After you have finished cleaning the real cell you would remove the dummy cell from the plumbing and place the real cell back in place. I need an Intellichlor replacement cell and the 15' plug that goes between the cell and the control box, Does this come with both?

will the ic40 cell work in my generator which was purchased and installed in 2007? the cell is definetly shot - my pool people quoted me $1200.for replacement with 60 day warranty. Wondering which route to take> thank you!! how long is delivery if I order from you?

pick for the o-rings
opened the breaker, unplugged salt generator from power supply, unscrewed salt generator, put new rings on the old fittings, screwed in new generator, plugged in new generator, closed breaker. vacuumed the pool, that was the hard part. Magic happens. green to clear blue in 3 days.
I had a flow error so I replaced the flow switch a few weeks earlier but it didn't clear the alarm.
