This cleaner is designated as a pressure side cleaner which means:Pressure Pool Cleaners most pressure cleaners require a booster pump which is typically a ¾ horse power pump that is dedicated for use with the cleaner alone. The booster pump allows you to operate the pressure cleaner without taking any suction away from your main pool pump. The addition of the booster pump does mean pressure cleaners require a more involved installation than either suction or robotic cleaners. The booster pump is installed in tandem with your pool pump.

I just finished replacing the shaft seal on my booster pump. As soon as I turned the pump on water was leaking from the shaft seal. Is it defective or am I doing something wrong?

Depending on the model, the installation of a booster pump shaft seal can be slightly different than a pool pump shaft seal. Some booster pump and pool pump shaft seals require that a silicone sealant be used on the outer areas of the metal seat of the shaft seal. The seal will need to be lightly hammered into the body of the pump. You can use a 1 inch PVC coupling or a piece of 1 1/4 inch PVC pipe and a rubber mallet. This procedure will apply to any pool pump or booster pump using a >PS-1000 style shaft seal.

I started getting my pool ready for the pool season when i turned on the pump i noticed the booster pump leaking from the center. What parts should I replace?

Hi Joseph, If you have a Letro or Pentair LA01N Booster Pump then we would suggest replacing the Letro Booster Pump Shaft Seal and the Letro Booster Pump Body O-Ring. We also carry All of the Replacement Parts for the Letro LA01N Booster Pump.

Couldn't find it anywhere locally. Found INYOPOOLS.COM and they had it in stock and reasonably priced considering the shortages happening. Paid for expedited delivery and it shipped from a local warehouse. Exact duplicate of the existing one I needed to replace. Easy to install.
