Part # R0562201
Motor w/ Drive, Gen II - R0562201
Features:
Does this motor Century M48AA66D58 R0562201 have a capacitor? Is it within the control box controller attached to the motor?
If so, can this be replaced? My motor, will not start and immediately causes the breaker to break before starting, making me believe there is an electrical short somewhere or the capacitor has blown. Note this is a Jandy Pro Series E-Pump assembly - variable speed 2 HP X 1.35 = 2.7 HP

Unfortunately, Jandy does not provide schematics for their variable-speed motors, so we cannot verify there unit contains a capacitor. For in-depth troubleshooting and to begin any possible warranty work, I suggest giving Jandy a call at 800-822-7933

Hello Stuart, we would recommend the Waterway Power Defender 270 Variable Speed Pool Pump 2.7 HP 230V - PD-VSC270. If you have Jandy Automation you will also need the V-Green Automation Adapter Kit - 2517501-001.

Is this pump motor available in stock and is it a direct replacement for the Jandy motor part number M488AA66D58 with no other changes required for like replacement other than setting the dip switch address?
Hello Glenn. The Jandy Zodiac JEP 2.0 E-Pump Variable Speed Replacement Motor 2.7 HP w/Drive - Gen II is compatible with the Jandy ePump Variable Speed Pump (2008-Present). Attached please find an exploded parts diagram for the Jandy ePump VS Pump Jandy ePump Variable Speed Pump (2008-Present) Jandy/Zodiac was not able to cross-reference the motor part number M48AA66D58 to the ePump. Please verify your pool pump model. If it is the ePump, the replacement R0562201 is compatible. The motor shaft seal and backplate o-ring should be replaced concurrent with the new motor/drive.
