How is it possible that this valve actuator will fit on any 2 or 3 way valve?

The most common valves in the industry are Jandy, Compool, Pentair,Hayward, and Intermatic. These mfg'rs make up 99% of the valves on the market. All of these mfg'rs use the same bolt pattern on their valves. Since they use a common bolt pattern, the valve accuators are interchangeable. Click here to view all our valve actuators

(4 out of 5 stars) Quality Product
Reviewed By: Ross S. from Fairfield, CT ()
Pros: Sturdy, well built, reliable
Cons: Hard to custom configure.
Like all other Jandy products, the JVA 2444 is a sturdy unit built to last. Configuring the cams for anything other than a standard pool / spa selection is not as straightforward as it could be. The cams are not labeled clearly and setting them up involve bit of trial and error. Jandy could (should) simplify this.

(4 out of 5 stars) Adjustable to any position
Reviewed By: Pbod from Lewisville, TX ()
Pros: Adjustable to any position
Cons: Manual operation
I needed an actuator that would partially open a Jandy valve by just 5 clicks. It does exactly what I needed. Manual operation of the actuator depends on the actuator shaft's ability to slide down the valve's shaft. The shafts like to stick together making them hard to engage and disengage.

(4 out of 5 stars) Easy-to-install servo valve
Reviewed By: Rich D. from Doraville, GA ()
Pros: good documentation, easy to install
Cons: stems don't pop back easily after manual
Actuators are easy to install-they just replace the manual handle. I have had some problems with the stem not popping back up (you push it down for manual actuation of the valve).
