Part # 7235
Dimensions 6.5" L x 3.75" W x 4.75" D
Constructed of the same tough CPVC material used on the NeverLube. Our Check Valve’s clear lid and red seal plate let you easily see and access debris. It features a unique swing/spring design for both return and intake water. The diverter swings completely open with minimal back pressure and no water turbulence.
Features:
My check valve is P/N 7236 REV . Pool is 6 1/2 years old. Is 7235 the same as my part? Also can I just replace the flapper and cover without removing entire black pvc fitting? My spa water is draining back into pool whenever pump is not on. I'm assuming it's one of my 2 check valves.

When I bought this house the pool was already here. The original heater was junk so I replaced it with a 175,000 but Raypak. It lasted maybe seven years and then the heat exchanger leaked. Next heater was a Raypak 206,000 btu and it didn't even last four years!! I finally discovered the issue. The original owners didn't have a one-way check valve installed between the heater output and the inline clorinator. I read that these Jandy valves are heavy-duty so I bought one. In five minutes I installed it. Cut the piper and glue it in. Make sure the arrow goes with the flow of water throughout the clorinator. Done. The heater should now last forever!!

(5 out of 5 stars) Great item

Pros: See inside, can be opened to clean
Cons: None
Purchased to replace a cheap check valve which had broken. The clear top so you can see what is going on inside, and ability to open and clean is a phenomenal improvement. I also think it gets better flow though the valve when open. We will see how it lasts, but seems interior components can be replaced, so should be good long term fix.

(5 out of 5 stars) Jandy check valve is great
Reviewed By: Darian T. from Sarasota, FL ()
Pros: Sturdy construction
Cons: Don't know one yet
I installed this valve between the chlorinator and the heater after learning that it was essential to do so to prevent mechanical failure. I looked at a variety of check valves; yes, the Jandy is a bit more expensive, but the construction is very durable and it works like a charm. You don't want this thing to fail! It's smaller than it looks on pictures online; get the measurements to ensure that you can retro fit it if you've already plumbed. Note also that it comes 180 and 90 degree, if you need a joint application

Pros: WELL MADE
Cons: NONE SO FAR
THIS IS MY 3RD CHECK VALVE AND NONE HAVE LASTED MORE THAN TWO SEASONS. THIS CHECK VALVE APPEARS TO BE HEAVIER DUTY THAN ANY I HAVE PURCHASED BEFORE. NOW IT JUST HAS TO WITHSTAND THE TEST OF TIME.
