What size pool will this heat/cool? and will it run a salted pool, mine is 25,000 gallons.

Good afternoon Chris, This unit will work, if you want the cooling feature. If the heat feature is more important than I would recommend the 140,000 BTU unit. Heat pumps pull heat from the air so if your in an area that is below freezing this is not for you. All Heat pumps have Titanium heat exchangers so this will hold up the best for salt pools. If you have any other questions feel free to call. We are open Monday through Friday 9am-6pm Eastern time.

Re: Hayward Heat Pro Heat Pump 120,000 BTU Heat/Cool - HP31204T
my inground is about 25' x 14' and is 4.5' deep throughout. Is this the correct size for my pool? or would it be more efficient to get more BTU?

will the Model HP31204T work ok with an above ground pool, water level above heat exchanger ?

Yes, that heat pump will work great with an above ground pool. Just make sure you have the correct electrical hook ups for that heat pump.

(3 out of 5 stars) Does Not Come with Needed Operational Information.

Fast delivery, in excellent condition at a very good price point. Operation Documentation is generic however, without needed operational codes defined. Hayward customer service may be the worst I've ever encountered and INYOPOOLS didn't have the information either. Finally found it buried in the internet. FYI; AC0-AC9 are the degrees of temperature above the setpoint that cooling automatically starts and ACP, which the unit defaults to, is cooling only and will not heat regardless of setpoint. Seems like information someone would provide right?
