My pool has to much salt in it how do i get it back to normal
Reply
Jacky- The only way to lower the salt in your pool is to add water and dilute the TDS level in the pool. You would have to drain a little of the pool and fill it back with fresh water a little at a time.

what is the proper range on the salt test strips for a salt pool?

Dave, Most salt systems require a minimum of 2800ppm and a max of 4000ppm. The owner's manual for your salt system should indicate what the proper range is.

How often should i use a salt test strip a month?is it once a month? then i can use regular strips once a week to test ph and chlorine?
Reply
Hi. You should manually test the salinity level twice a month and your chlorine, pH, and alkalinity levels weekly.

Hi,
I took the water to the pool store and the asked me to lower the water and add fresh water in to the pool because the salt is too high. I will do that. My question is why the pool form green allergies and hard to scrap it off. Thank you.

I am guessing on this one because I do not know your pool chemistry. But if your salt level is too high your Salt Chlorinator will shut off and not produce chlorine. So if you have no chlorine algae will grow.

Could not be more simple to use. Use them for hot tub but tested them against my pool's computerized unit and the values are never more than 50-75 ppm off!
