We're building a 6 foot by 13 foot spa (3 feet depth) in Southwest Florida (Sarasota) and would like to know if the SQ110 heat pump would work well for that application, to get the temperature up as high as 95degF for use when the jets are on. Would I have the heat pump on all the time to maintain that temperature, or would I just use the heater an hour or two beforehand to get the temperature up?

This heat pump will work well for what you are trying to do. You would turn it on an hour or two before and let it heat the spa up to the desired temperature, but just like with a normal heater in a spa you would have to leave it running while the spa is bubbling. The reason for that is because the bubbling allows heat to escape. If you've ever been in a spa where the heater is broken, you would have noticed that once the heater shuts off the water cools significantly. Therefore you would let it run to support the temperature.

Would this unit be size correctly for an in-ground 11500 gal pool in central FL?
Also, any comment on how this brand compares to Sta-Rite/Pentair?

The AquaCal HeatWave SuperQuiet Heat Pump 100,000 BTU would be a great fit for an 11,500gal pool. The spec information and competitor brands have it very comparable in efficiency.

what size heat pump would I need for pool 307 sq.ft deepest part is 5 feetabout 9800 gal of water live in Arizona

Researching good way to heat our Foxx vinyl lined in-ground 18x36 pool ~ 23k gallons. We live near 93430 CA. A neighbor suggested an Aqua Cal heat pump. So I would like to find out details. We have not heated our pool since having it installed in '89. Liner was replaced 2015 and remains in fine condition. Thank you.

Is it possible to install a remote controller for this pump along with making it acessable via a smart phone?

Hi. Unfortunately, there is not controller specifically for this unit that will allow you to controller this unit via a smartphone. You will have to look into getting a Pool Automation.
